I picked Highlands because they are the home team. I think it will be very close, but Highlands has been a team that will not show their hand, as far as playcalling goes, until this game. I would say this game is a toss-up, but being at Highlands is the reason I picked them. Highlands has played Elder close a number of times and in one instance, a phantom call made the difference in the game (2000). The ball could bounce the wrong way and that could be the difference in this game. McCoy will have to have success passing, which he had a lot of last year against Elder, for Highlands to be able to consistently move the ball. A well balanced attack is what Highlands has been prepping for all year, and key to winning this game. Highlands needs to have sustained drives to keep the defense off the field. Even though there is a 2-platoon system, players still get tired. I will admit I do not know a whole heck of a lot about Elder this year, but if they are like they traditionally are, they will ground and pound on offense and play very disciplined defense. Look for a close game, and the biggest surprise IMO would be a blow out either way.

That really doesnt have anything to do with Highlands winning this game. Would BG or Louisville St. X beat Elder? If Highlands wins or loses this game, it doesn't mean they are better or worse that those other 2 teams.

IMO the home team should choose. Revenue could be important in regards to whether teams are allowed to broadcast to an outside audience or not. Do the schools make any money in advertising during these broadcasts?

He might be really good, but he would have started if he was better than Bolin. Even with Bolin, Highlands was ranked 2 spots higher on the state rankings with a big gap between 1 and 2.

Darn, I was looking forward to a potential solid game between Highlands & Lex Cath. IMO this matchup without Bolin won't be close (Assuming Highlands beats Cov Cath and Lex Cath beats Boyle).

I like the travel games. This will prepare the team for the travel down to Bowling Green in December.

The game within the game is what makes it fun. Working on the passing game, not allowing first downs, scoring on every drive that the 1st team is in. The other part of having this type of game is that the practices during the week are a lot more intense. Winning is fun, and yes there are easy games, but these are good games to prepare for games down the road.
