Bluegrasscard
From Lexington Herald Leader Lexington Catholic quarterback Kyle Bolin out for season | High school football | Kentucky.com Covered in LexCath-Boyle thread but here is link to local article. Kyle's final year in middle school was cut short with an injury. But he still managed to get an invite to the inaugural FBU Middle School All-American Bowl. Though being the 3rd quarterback and getting few reps in practice he lead the East 8th grade team on its only scoring drive in that game. So he knows how to come back from injury and lead a team. He was and still is a team leader. Always positive, always cheering others on.
Rhino859
Hate to see things like this happen. From the article, it sounded to me like it may have been a 'non contact' injury, more like a freak acciednt? Am I reading that correctly? I wish him a speedy recovery, and the best of luck at UL. plantmanky
Bluegrass thats sad news to hear. Kyle is a strong competitor and will recover just fine from this injury. Its a shame he will not be able to finsih his senior year and career at Lex Cath on his terms.
NKY Bandit
Always hate to hear a players season being cut short, even worse if he/she is a senior. Good luck Kyle!

thenamerobdigity
Darn, I was looking forward to a potential solid game between Highlands & Lex Cath. IMO this matchup without Bolin won't be close (Assuming Highlands beats Cov Cath and Lex Cath beats Boyle).

plantmanky
Question for everyone. Once Kyle officially signes with UofL in February, how much can they help with his rehab and getting back on the field while hes still in high school?

oldonetechnique
Sad news for LC, but from what I hear the back up is also a stand out QB.
Bluegrasscard
I am confused, why does it mention Middle school? Sr QB at Lex CAth correct? This is terrible news for the young man. Hope he recovers quickly. His 8th grade season was cut short with a broken collar bone in 2008. He recovered and rehabbed quick enough to play in San Antonio in January. So he knows how to comeback from this type of setback.
