Jacob and Jack had those defensive bodies and football grit like Hunter. Trust me there was a kid or two in the program that fit the role you are talking about,; but decisions were made otherwise. I think Cole and Oliver may get there but they need muscle. You need that linebacker/strong safety mentality. I call it enforce your will!

I agree as a coordinator he is going to excel. I always believe the defense at Highlands was light years ahead of the offense after the Dale era. Dale used to take the athletes that could run up a score and Brian could patch and play with the rest. The offense mindset was bad the past few years and the defense could never get off the field. I believe it was a combo of things including not playing certain players on both sides of the ball. I truly wish Brian the best!!

Does anybody have the rebound margin between the teams. When HHS has an off shooting night, they miss a tough inside thick post player?

That might be a bargain if you catch a couple of names mentioned. I think they circle the wagons and get creative.

The incoming Senior class is very good and they work well with the incoming junior class. Trust me we don’t have to wait for the SCIT. Some seniors and juniors are working now! I hope the hire is in place by 02/15. That should be plenty long enough to find a coach.

Glad to hear Cole Kocher get involved! This team can be very tough if they learn to get after it on defense and have viable options after Vinson and if Herald or Muller have off nights. Congrats on a hard fought win!

He has but let’s put on the brakes. Not ready for varsity plus he missed on a few position players that if not had relationships with other coaches would have left program. So IMO that would be no.

My understanding is that the HHS fresh coach on committee and I am certain that the position will not be an inside hire.

I have watched Oliver play for years and know when he is frustrated and watched this play multiple times. A hard foul yes, a push and intentional foul nope!!! He made an attempt on the ball. As my Son used to say I know how and when he comes unnerved.

Man o Man stop the insanity. From what I heard he interviewed well and had a thesis paper of an action plan. If he went to Twitter so be it. He is a passionate person and I am certain he wanted the job! I know we all been there and yes the 24 hour rule is a good one. In any event if this group keeps this up we are going to get Dave Shula and homes will go up quick in town. Just once if we could give a little respect. Money and pay matter! I love football played, coached and live it; however this town is like Friday night lights without the TX paycheck. My previous post sounded ungrateful and we are appreciative of those that help support and provide the very best for Fort Thomas kids that should not lead to entitlement. Enjoy the experience it goes to quick and I just hope the community can catch the action in 2021! Let’s pray for folks in the stands, catching up with neighbors and players reunited with the student body! Football ? Fridays are the greatest show on earth!

Living in this town for many years there are a lot of intangibles that make football great; however you do have some parents that has coaches and ad on speed dial to inquire why little Johnny isn’t on the field. You have another group that throws money around believe they are the first families of football. It even goes to bias reporting. If you watched games this year you know exactly what I am talking about. What’s lost in that are the boys currently working now with strength and conditioning coaches, weekend pass drills not waiting on a coach and transition. They read crap that a coach elected not to come because of talent and game tape. Here is a thought stop the ? circus, hush the hiring committee, consult with past HHS greats. The downside to this was coach James said exactly what was needed but the Lord has a way of shutting doors and opening windows. I believe there is a candidate out there.

That is my understanding as well.

I get you have a change of heart but remember you introduced yourself to kids. Your texting back and forth with them! You did exactly the opposite of what you sold. Coaches are in the business of molding young men and brother you broke the mold! Think long and hard on that!!!!
