  1. Agreed! Put your work boots on and get after it. I always tell mine play like there is no tomorrow. As Bear Bryant would say “it’s not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters”. Players are made in the offseason get to work!
  2. Hartman might go back to tote the ball some. He will lead for sure. Robinson should have another stellar year. Hopefully Roller will return from injury. Nobody moved the ball on the JV line backing crew. So I will state LaFrange will replace South and key the defense. Best sure tackler on the team. Dunn should step up nicely. I expect Henry King and young Carson Schwabach to move forward on defensive line. Hopefully Richter returns back to before injury at RB.
  3. I I agree with dropped passes! I know a few more has opted to look at that position. No blazers but great size and very good hands. I know a handful are itching to play both sides of the ball. I am sure it all sort out
  4. Both QB need to develop in passing game. Benke would have been better served to play and practice with JV last year. They have a plethora of receivers including size. I sure hope Spring helps. I am a lot less concerned with offensive line and linebacker group. Both strengths of the team.
  5. Tickle me pink! They bought in the Grandfather to take us to the promise land. I am very excited for the hire, he has an impressive resume and references. Patience is a virtue. I am very pleased with the end result. Congrats administration. Let’s assemble a staff and get to work!!
  6. I gladly pay you on Tuesday for a hamburger today as my buddy Wimpy would say!
  7. Years ago I remember playing the Birds and being on the opposite sideline it would boom like being on the wrong end of a Civil War reenactment. When I married and moved in the area it would boom my single pane windows just down from the school. Nothing was better than the boom when a first timer was sitting next to you in the stands!!!
  8. Does anybody know a good chimney sweep? I swear the stack is out of operation. Maybe it was the techno cannon blasts?
  9. Nothing shared to date. I heard Mcnick replaced Boyle. We were scheduled to play BG in the Rafferty bowl but not sure if confirmed. Your 5A district and SK, what I have been able to determine from other schedules.
  10. Agreed offensive line strength! Add Barton and you captured unit.
  11. I will say this 84 pages show the program is relevant. I very much could put a depth chart together lol. I along with many others have put in a lot of work to see these kids succeed. Your stars convince the special team kids are as important as the boy running in the water. I look for them to lead. I expect the incoming seniors to lead by example. It is not about the name on the back of your jersey but how you moved the program forward!
  12. A laundry list of them. Let’s hash that out after the Spring and hire.
  13. No need to hash old stuff. Huddleston is easy. Robinson last year took to much time to see he was the most effective runner. Look at the JV tape it would be obvious. There were kids in the program that should have made more a significant difference on Friday nights. Some have better hands than starters. I am not the coach. Those that care are working hard.
  14. Trust me I know all about spring season loss. I get that and I know difficult decisions are made during these uncertain times. It is easy to sit here and stress patience when you have kids done or kids still entering high school. It is not the same challenge when you have boys dealing with it. The collective boys I am talking about are working now and doing everything they can. Let me ask a better question what high schools are currently lifting and doing football workouts??? If others are you may have an answer about the present state of the program.
  15. Or past history from.HHS relics. We live in today and now and these boys deserve better. I get history and past success; however you need to adapt and change. I understand we were spoiled in the past but truth of the matter other programs have caught up. We do need to make a wise decision but let’s not mortgage the next two seasons all together. I am not happy with the current circus and have always been quiet; but my tolerance and needle are moving quickly.
  16. I don’t know what was shared or what went on behind the decisions. I can tell you this I know football and talent and will say that kids with talent were missed and some that should play on both sides of the ball. I know kids are coached and develop in different stages; however some played behind others they had no business playing behind or were not put in other positions in the interim. Back to the matter at hand need some traction by 2/15 on coach or at least 60 minutes and weights. If not the incoming juniors and seniors are not going to be fine with another e-mail message or 5 minute zoom - Mr. Wes.
  17. I am not sure but if you go back years, they had a history on backing the wrong horses. Cam a miss, Matt Shearer a miss. Both boys opted to pursue other opportunities.
  18. Let’s see a group of boys workout in Beechmont 8:30 and get home after 10 but the field house is unavailable? Perhaps somebody can inform us on the scheduling of events.
  19. Yes with Siple and Nevels correct. I am not pleased with current admin on 60 minutes or weight sessions. I suggest they move forward quickly at least with the program. Wes doesn’t want to come to the table with nothing by next promise date. I can assure you of that.
  20. John is still in the area boys are grown and he was in the stands on Friday nights. Another great guy if approached might consider helping in one form or another. Boys sure could play the game. I know kids like him!
  21. I heard it was about the temperature today? We will see if it will be a direct hit or stays to the South?
  22. I will say this plenty of the boys work with him on the weekends and they enjoy it. That is somebody that could be added to the staff for sure.
  23. I continue to read the pages and scratch my head??? I call it read and react accordingly.
  24. Sam is a special talent and not only a leader but makes everybody else better! Lastly kid works on his game.
  25. I agree as well. Folks you do realize we are in KY? How many teaching positions are available? I do believe new coach should have say on staff but to specifically start from scratch good luck with that. Boosters and non-profits get ready. They are some coaches that can transition.
