Agree with this for the most part; however UK could not shoot itself out of a paper bag. You have enough of the same. Sometimes you need that shooter and that is where you miss strictly looking at D1 attributes IMO

I will say this DM was impressive. Kids would line up to catch his spit and he liked to spray. The darn water boys thought they were the best in the business. The boys had moxie and arrogance in a good way. Boys would argue who was the best tackling dummy. Call it a culture or a thingy but hope we get the mojo back. I do think talent is there moving forward!!

Agreed Cramer was impressive! I like his moxy! The other two will be strong as well! That is not a position I am worried about for HHS for 3 years.

One thing is certain, let’s stop the TE talk until they use it correctly. I have been clamoring for a TE drag across the middle for years. Give me one that knows how to block too folks. I believe they do have kids that can play that role but will the OC make the transition.

Wow this thread has the look of a daytime soap opera. I like BW and would be in his camp. I like JB and man was I right on that hire and the state of baseball program. I happen to have great friends that endorse Siple back from his Indian Hills days. I too believe there was a drop in talent and stated it to Old Bird at length. Sutkamp leaving the program and a couple basketball only(s) did not help that class. Also at that time a frosh coach ran the wrong boys off and contributed to the decision. I do also agree that some play calling and decisions made by OC and previous DC were concerning. Hopefully the program learns and moves forward. Being a transplant not having any rings and a total of 4 varsity wins in 4 years, I married into the tradition. I was heavily involved in the FTJFL and had my youngest move to the Red Devils. Did I take heat Yes, was it the right decision for him yes. He made friends and many were bluebirds too. It is ironic that he was injured and missed the entire season. The boys welcomed him in as family. He is on the mend and is working hard to do his part in the program moving forward. Like alphabet soup I see both sides and we agree; which in the past we would differ in opinion. Hoping for success moving forward.

Game has gone soft! Kids no longer have heads on swivels fearing blows. They can’t tackle period. They want to hold hands, bear hug and tackle down. Hog wash. Everybody has an invention these days find something to make the game safe but geez. I can’t watch how defense is taught these days. Nobody can tackle period. Bring back the cowboy and stop the PF bull crap. 15 yard penalties are stupid when you can’t stop drives. Lastly somebody needs to step up and lead the defense.

I absolutely love the post! I personally like BW in the classroom. Both boys come back and discuss why They are liked or not based on history and the position with France and the US. Inside joke. To many in this town forget that coaches mold young Men! Heck everybody wants to win! Sure the W/L has a lot to do with Jimmy and Joes but the end of the day for most it lasts 4 years. If they are having fun let them enjoy it! Not soft, second guess coaching fine but I appreciate the teacher behind the coach!!!
