What is going to be interesting is IF they realign regions and do not place whole districts into new regions (obviously forces you to realign districts) how that changes the structure of teams and the votes in each district. Because if you get a 4 team district I believe the rule is you must have a majority vote to seed. Once seeding is voted in it takes a majority to not seed. This could get interesting if new districts are formed.

It used to be that way for all districts years ago and it was never referred to as a mockery. Again I am sure IF you were in the shoes of Bellevue Dayton or Newport you would continue to vote the way you do. Just as IF I were in the shoes of a NCC or Highlands I would want seeding.................................

You guys are making this too easy. So by your statement a three seed has NEVER made it to a regional tournament in a seeded district. I do not even have to research to know that is not true......................

Because he was an assistant there and it is his first head coaches job. Qryche11 is stating that current local head coach (es) have a high interest and have applied. And as Govnah stated do tell who those guys are...........................

Yeah Tennessee is the most jekyll and hyde team in college basketball. I am predicting now they end up not in the tourney and if they do end up out real quick. They seem to be regressing from where they were early in the year.

I was thinking the same thing......................................I mean maybe the head coach at Bracken (sorry no offense meant to the Polar Bears) would consider this a step up other wise for any local coach such as a Ludlow (just using them as an example) it would be a lateral move at best and based on the administration dealings that have been discussed I doubt that it makes it a "glamor" job for current head coaches.

This has only happened like 3 times in 15 years so to say year in and year out is way off base. Boys and girls draw are the same in the 36th and the breakdown of when this happened is listed in the boys forum. So it looks like 80% of the time they avoid each other through a blind draw.

Well...........I am not sure who these many people are..................Yes their are people who could take the job but they have to want to and chances are they want a teaching position with it. Not sure what openings Bellevue has.

Thanks for the info! As we have seen in the past I hope Bellevue does not wait and drag their feet to make a hire. I can guarantee there will be plenty of "upper level input" before this hire is made.

After watching Brossart just annihalate Silver Grove and Scott I would think it will take a very good team to beat them. It is one thing to jump out to a 15 point first quarter lead agianst SG but to do it to Scott as well was impressive.

Well I would say Neil is not a clown...................I cannot speak to his ability to coach football but he has done some good things with the junior football league and he works well with little kids in baseball. now that does not make him a candidate to be the head coach at Bellevue but again I really do not know his background well enough to know what he is capable of. Again I ask what is Ryan leopold's background and what does he do on Dale's staff.

Hey............ Neil's a good guy but I do not think he is coaching. I know he does a lot with the youth football but I am not aware of any role on Dale's staff. I could be wrong though............ Ryan Leopold what does he do at Highlands?

Todd Ramey is a huge kid with a strong arm. He played QB for Newport FF................Interesting to see where (position wise) he ends up playing.............................

Obviously the potential to cancel games due to being over your limit due to making the All A state is discussed prior to scheduling a game and is included in some contracts. I do know that years ago discussion was held and teams did NOT schedule games during the All A state as a show of support for the newly formed tourney..................This as NCC06 has pointed out is no longer the case.

I thought it was an "unwritten" rule that teams that are class A schools did not play during the All A state tournament?

Highlands and NCC even went as far as to propose splitting the regional money equally amongst the five schools if they would vote to seed and that still did not produce the one more necessary vote. Personally I think this now has become so ingrained how the five schools vote I do not see anyone changing a vote any time soon. And in reality Newport would be the only one who would remotely consider. And trust me this vote does not come from coaches.

Highlands and NCC always vote for seeding. Newport Bellevue and Dayton always vote against it. Newport is the swing vote in this district if there is such a thing. But unless they feel they can consistently be a one seed why vote for seeding if you are Newport? Being a 2 or 3 means you are playing either Highlands or NCC every year in the district tournament.
