  1. Was it corrected at half time or after the game was over?
  2. Wow a Corey and Topanga reference. That is classic and my day will now be much better............
  3. And Eckstein coaching or not has no bearing on your fooball any more since you are AA................Good luck with that........................having to play NCC
  4. :DPlease tell me Cornbread is not still officiating...................Surely you jest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I think Marquette has to beat UC. But UC could weather that loss..................
  6. Yes David Justice went to Latin then to Thomas More. Did not play HS baseball (not even sure if they fielded a team during his years). Played baseball for Jim Connor at TMC.
  7. I think they are referring to Lucas to Bellevue......................Which is what I based my comment on about the Lloyd situation.
  8. I guess most of us do not have your knowledge base or intelligence to figure it out...........?
  9. If it does that speaks volumes about the situation at Lloyd..................................
  10. The other issue is getting quality coaches. Right now I have heard two names and both will do a great job. That is going to be key......................
  11. One thing that COULD take place...........................If you are taking some of the Raiders territory maybe all those Raiders kids will not be funnelled towards Dixie. With the open enrollment in Kenton County kids tend to want to go play with their buddies which in this case is going to Dixie. IF Scott can get some people into coaching within the organization that could promote Scott then maybe you could see some positive happenings down the road. Bottom line is that Scott, with the open enrollment within the County, needs to make itself a viable football choice. Even if only a few kids each year "choose" to go outside of the territory that they live in, within Kenton County, that all adds up.
  12. Yeah I am not getting the "spin" on this...............................IF this was a Scott middle school team that only Scott kids would play on it. It sounds more like lets make another team by taking territory from three other teams and call it something........................... On a side note.........................Anybody else remember the Hawks? the players were from the four Catholic Schools in Newport. (St. Stephen, St. Francis, St. Vincent and Corpus Christi)
  13. All regional tournaments on the boys side draw profits that are pretty darn nice. Girls tourney's tend to make money but itis minimal amounts. A typical year for a 10th region tourney financially runs something like: Each participating school is capped at a 5,000 check. each non particpating school receives a share of what is left. This usually ranges in the 500-750.00 dollar range. Now compare that to 9th region checks. IN some years past schools that particpate were getting around 2,500 to 3,000. So the 10th has always been a bigger money maker than the 9th to my knowledge when it comes to the revenue it generates. However ALL regional tourneys make money
  14. Back then I believe Thomas More was NAIA and played in the conference with Pikeville, Berea and a bunch of other Ky. NAIA schools.
  15. Yes Father Ed Heile was the head coach for years at Covington Latin and had some teams that did acheive some success..................
  16. Well I can say that I think teaching openings is playing a major role in this...............I could be wrong but I am thinking that finding the coach that fits the teaching area is causing some delay.
  17. I do not know the exact total but I know it seats more than that...........................Closer to 1,000
  18. How does the saying go...it is not what you know but who you know???????????????????????
  19. No offense to the other three schools but does Mason, year in and year out, have one of the easiest routes to a district championship? Three class A schools?
  20. Wow..................do the Covcath faithful think Madison Central was that inspired to play them the last game of the season? Any more so than the excuses for CovCath, did Madison Central not play under the same circumstances................... Last game of the year, out of region opponent, perhaps MC played some kids more than normal and others less as well (seems reasonable given the lopsidedness of the half time score). Bottom line is there have been several games this year that flat out Covcath (for whatever reason) has not answered the bell.
  21. Oh and do you have a link for the number one ranking they have this season. I would like to view the rankings..............
  22. I think Jon Draud was the coach of that Holmes team too. The older NCC teams were coached by legendary Jim Connor.
  23. BGH I cannot find any poll last year where they were ranked number 1 in Northern Ky. or the 10th region.........................
