Highlands 55 Seven Hills (OH) 50

Featured Replies

The Birds welcomed back Jack Stewart last night as they beat the visiting Stingers from Seven Hills.

Stewart drilled the first bucket of the game from 15 feet out and the Birds jumped up 15-5 and 34-20 in the first half. Stewart played limited minutes and clearly still has some rust to shake off but very nice to see the SR back out there having fun. The 2nd half the Birds had trouble with intensity and couldn't throw it in the ocean as Seven Hills got hot from outside the arc. They could never get closers than 2 though. Patrick Towles is becoming a Mule on the boards. He had to have a double/double. Highlands could have put it away by hitting FTs which they seemed to struggle with at times.

Birds improve to 9-11. Next up Holmes on the road Thursday.

They are 7-7 and in the MVC with CCD, Summit CD and North College Hill. They are not very big but they have quick guards who can shoot very well. They also are very well coached by Willie Hill.

Here is an article on them written about a month ago.

The kid in the picture can sky, he pinned a ball against the glass on a fast break by Sam Lewis late in the game. Very impressive.

What is Seven Hills record? Are they not a small school?

They have an enrollment of 295 in grades 9-12..They are listed at 7-7..

I believe it is about $18,000yr to go to school there..

Nice school, my nephew is a Senior at Seven Hills. LaCross and BBall player. Go Austin!

It was great to see Jack Stewart back on the court! His presence seemed to settle the Birds and no doubt big Patrick Towles loved having a second big man on board again. Frosh Nick True was also solid in the post for the Birds. Although Conor Crowley had an off night scoring he played the entire game and was very steady. Seven Hills had a solid squad and were well coached.
