Notre Dame 58 Highlands 39

Featured Replies

WOW! Sure thought Highlands would be more competitive.

Nah, not tonite. I didnt see the Frosh and the JV game so I cant comment on those games. But as far as the Varsity game goes, ND dominated from start to finish with no real threat from the Birds. ND didnt do anything special, just played a solid game on both ends of the courts and Highlands just could never get on track tonite resulting in the blowout.

The Birds are in for a tough week of basketball with St Henry tomorrow nite and NewCath on Sat nite. Not sure what to expect as this is a Highlands team that resembles a two headed monster. Should be an interesting week of basketball to say the least. Go Birds.

Congratulations Pandas!

Anyone have the box score on this one? Bad night for the Bluebird bball programs. 0-6 against Park Hills

I'm less familiar than I used to be with the players at HHS. I don't see Conners name. Maybe Sweep can fill us in on some of these players. I know Dunn is a senior, Abner Schaefer and Daley are sophs.

You are correct that Dunn is a senior. Allie Conner is currently injured and did not play last night. Bryson is a junior transfer from Johnson Central. You are correct on the soph's that you mentioned. Not sure what grade Glenn is in, but I believe that she to is a soph. Adler is just a 7th grader and has been pushed up the ladder rather quickly which seems to be a staple of the Highlands girls program these days. Only other senior on the roster is Sydney Groneck and the only junior is Sydney Watson who is recovering from an injured knee. As with the boys team, there is not a lot of experience and the upper classes are rather thin. Be interesting to see how this program progresses in the next several years as there are some pretty good players in the pipeline. Question will be whether or not they choose to stick with basketball.

I hope football is not causing this problem too! :D

Are Kowolonek and Krauss still playing? From what I remember there was some talent in what is now the senior and junior classes. I pretty much know the story on the senior class, but what happened to the junior class?

Kowolonek and Kraus are both still in the program. Both play JV and Kowolonek dresses varsity, but does not get to play much.

I really like her offensive game. She has a nice jumper and is strong enough to score inside.

Voskuhl is probably the best sophmore in the region. She is very skilled and strong, staff has done a great job developing her as well as otherplayers skill. Head coach can coach as well as teach skills, not to many do that anymore.
