If WV is going to break through, this may be their chance. I think SK really needs to end up in the right half of the regional tournament bracket to have a chance to advance. Losing this game effectively ends a disappointing season in Independence as shaky confidence would be destroyed heading to HC.

I had also heard that GC had some injuries as well. Should be a good one.

Is Walton healthy? I think a healthy WV team is the better of the two but GC seems to regularly pull off some upsets at home.

Pulling for my Pioneers and fully expecting them to get the W but this group of kids has left me with more questions than answers.

Not a shot at FTJYF or whatever you guys call it. I hear that it's a well run league. My intent was that a solid MS program would better prepare kids for the HS program. Fortunately, I believe that FT runs H's offense and defense (so I've been told) so you don't get the nonsense you see at someplace like south Kenton in NKYFL.

My preseason thoughts were that they were big at SK but worried about the back court. Is that the issue with this group, not enough ball handling?

The real question, in my mind, is will the early start throw off either girls team? It's senior night for both boys and girls so the gym should be packed. Who has experience playing in front of large crowds for a girls game? SK by 12.

If there's a well defined youth/development program in place then the HS HC should be involved to ensure that each level of the program is running a similar offense/defense. South Kenton kids should come through the league running the spread with a 3/5 defense and it just doesn't happen. Watch their league games- playing 6/2 defense and two tights with a full back is not following the guidance of an SK coaching staff member.

I could counter and add than many kids have recently came to SK to play for TS. Several kids have decided to stop playing basketball to focus on other sports recently, which is a trend everywhere. You have first hand knowledge that Cam isn't playing BB because of TS?

Did they ever figure out how to post this information to a website so interested parties could keep track? Always has been a shortcoming. Would like to know how SVA, Woodland and Twenhofel 6th have done.

Why doesn't FTH have a middle school program? Seems like that's the better option than playing in a booster league.

So it's the HC/Staff and not the players responsible for the 8 game losing streak?

I believe a civil suit had been filed in the case and the coach received a suspension. Not sure that it was good enough. If the player had acted alone I'd be in favor of a long suspension/ban as well. One girl refused to inbound the ball and another went to inbound it, willing to follow the coaches orders. As a parent, I'd be distraught if one of my kids agreed to follow such an order. If one were on the receiving end, that guy would have a whole lot of explaining to do once he found his teeth.

That would be my guess as well. The freedom of college and conditioning/lifting with your position group at 0600 followed up by team breakfast at 0800, class all day, meetings at 1600 and then group study can be challenging.
