  1. A well respected coach in Kentucky High school football has applied, his name is Ray Grahamn of Harrison County. Class coach!
  2. Football coaches need to save this and show all these 5'10" gym rats staying in the gym is not going to make you the best.
  3. I sort of understand where you come from TigerDude, but what is a shame is that you have to say, "And, I hate to say it, but considering the population, tradition and other factors, I am guessing that the administration will take a hard look at hiring an African-American coach for this position." I am a minority coach of 16 years. I have been the head assistant and coordinator for 9 years. I am also a head track coach since 1996. I have applied for 5 jobs and I am Zero for 5. I can't count how many times, I have heard we are looking for head coaching expierence. Do you know how many Black coaches that makes available for the job? That closes the door to the likes of me and many more aspiring coaches. Trust me it is frustrating! I just want an opportunity. I used to work with an assistant coach who joined our staff for his first job. He has just landed his third head coaching job since he left our program. He is a fine coach and I have tremendous respect for what he has accomplished. It makes me wonder, if I were not a minority coach would I have had the same success getting a job as he has had. I hate the idea that you feel it may be a political hire!!!! Wow, a qualified Minority canidate in your eyes will be a political hire. If you really think about it, there are many qualified coaches, Black or White. The Man who sells himself the best is the one who should earn the job.
  4. This will be the most highly wanted job in a long time. I expect over 50 applicants.
  5. Coached 47 years! Career record of 828-447 (.649) Won a NCAA title in 1967 with a 31-1 record Inducted in the National basketball hall of fame in 1982 Do you know who this is? He was born in Paducah and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. Retired in 1993 with 828 wins, only 2nd to Adolph Rupp!
  6. How is someone elected to the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame? If Garnis Martin of Bardstown was inducted in 1989 as the winningest high school football coach and Bob Schneider was inducted in 2006 as the winningest high school football coach. Where does Joe Jaggers fit into this group? It would seem that he was long over due for this honor.
  7. Joe Jaggers has to be mentioned. Retired as the all time winningest coach in state history. Led two different teams to state championships,Ft. Knox and Trigg County, neither school had ever done it before and neither have done it since he left. Won 5 state championships with 1 runner-up.
  8. I left the game after Male scored in the 4th quarter to go up 34 to 23 with 6:00 minutes remaining. There is no way, I would have believe that Redman would have stayed in his press man coverage. I believe if he had played zone for the rest of the game, Trinity would have run out of time. But who knows. During the game it was obvious that Trinity could run the ball when Male went to a 4 deep zone look, but when Male went to press man and bringing pressure they were stuffing the run and doing a fairly good job with the pass. Heyman (#46) for Male was their weakest link on the field. He is a great talent but was too big and not quick enough to cover Trinity's receivers, who ran precision routes. That game was lost by Male for sure.
  9. I love the way no one is counting on Meade to be in this game. Trust me! Meade County is a tough program and they will give Ryle all they expect. Meade County wins! They have perhaps the best short passing game I have seen this year. They will not beat you deep, but the timing the QB has with his receivers is 2nd to none.
  10. I have a question. I heard on talk radio, that Victor Anderson was a guest recruit at the U of L game vs West Virginia game. It was the black out game and I heard he wore all white. Is this true?

  12. Mark Terry and Andre Autrey of North Hardin High School
  13. That is great, wouldn't that be fitting. Because Jack Morris and Joe Jaggers had some classic match ups.
  14. LaRue vs Mercer has a interesting sub plot. Coach Jaggers has very close connections with LaRue County. I may be wrong but I believe Coach Jaggers use to coach at LaRue.
  15. As Coach Marty Jaggers of The Mecer County Titans continues their historic run towards a state title, does anyone know if a son of a state championship coach has won a state championship.
  16. People usually resist change, but I must admit, this new format has been extremely interesting. Both formats should be used in an alternating format.
  17. Come on Marty keep 'em going! I will be there next week.
  18. Congrats to Meade county! John Hardin was a major mental block for them. Really nice program, with hard working young men. The QB did a better job 2nd half and that got the running game going.
  19. I think Craddock Jaggers would be an interesting choice for the Central Hardin Job. I wonder if his father Joe Jaggers would be interested in that position. He did apply for Nelson County.
  20. Look at it from this stand point. Western has speed that can't be matched by most teams in the state, especially Etown. Now, is the poor field conditions an advantage for Western or Etown. If I am not mistaken, Western loss in pityful playing conditions. I bet if you asked Etown, they would say leave it at Western. How ridiculus is that? You think about!:thumb:
  21. Is this move to help Western or Etown? I think some funny stuff is going on?:madman:
  22. Coach Turner will bounce back and have the Indians ready. Leonard's Loser Lincoln County.
  23. Coach Bruner has the team moving in the right direction. I know the game will be better than the last. John Hardin's offense will be in a dog fight. If Nelson can contain the big play they will have a chance.
  24. I am not sure of the particulars, but I do know KHSAA makes some rulings without much investigation. I know a young man who missed five games of his senior year this year for the simple fact he moved within the school district. His family had moved for financial reasons and if I am not mistaken, their house was fore closed, but they declared him ineligble. The school appealed and the young man won and was allowed to play. This was all done before the season started, but the kid is the one who suffered.
  25. Was PRP's starting QB playing, I know he had gotten hurt vs North Hardin two weeks prior.
