Louisville Central High School Coach Resigns.

He did a good job at Central. The next coach is taking over and up and coming program. I hope they get the right man for the job.

I hate to hear this. He did a great job for this program and he seems to be a very good guy.

I sure hope they can get someone good to replace him. That school has so much potential and he was close to getting them to the top. Sad to hear he is leaving.

Good opportunity for somebody to step into a winning program and make a name for themselves.

 

Central is poised to be a dominant force in the new 3A.

The talent coming out of there is hard to match. I don't think it's a job that any coach could succeed with but the right coach could make a lot of noise there! They really have been pumping some talented athletes out of Central.

Admittedly, I don't know anything about their fan support, facilities or administration. But if you look at the athletes they are producing, and think about how competitive they have been in Louisville and 3A the last few years, it is hard to imagine them not being a favorite in the new alignment.

 

Granted, the selection of a new coach/staff will be paramount in that, but if the right coach took over and built on the success they have established, the sky is the limit.

 

Look at their 2007-2008 alignment and think about how they could dominate the West.

District-3-1- McLean County, Muhlenberg South, Paducah Tilghman, Union County, Webster County

District-3-2- Adair County, Butler County, Edmonson County, Hart County, Russellville

District-3-3- Central, Elizabethtown, Moore, Shawnee

EAST

District-3-5- Casey County, Garrard County, Jackson County, Somerset, Taylor County, Wayne County

District-3-6- Breathitt County, Cawood, Estill County, Fleming County, Powell County

District-3-7- East Carter, Lewis County, Mason County, Russell, West Carter

District-3-8- Belfry, East Ridge, Magoffin County, Pike County Central, Sheldon Clark

Central and Paducah Tilghman will become as regular in the semifinals as Mayfield-Danville and Beechwood-Pikeville, even more so ...

Oh yeah ... forgot about that. The KHSAA insists on screwing up everything when it comes to football.

This will be the most highly wanted job in a long time. I expect over 50 applicants.

The word around Louisville is that Male's Bob Redman wants it. I can't see him leaving Male.

why would anyone leave one of the largest public schools in the state that has GREAT athletes to go to a 3A school ? Someone please answer that because I know little about Jefferson County football and I simply can't see why one would leave Male to go to Central.

I'm not saying that Redman is interested, but there is no Trinity or St. Xavier to contend with in 3A.

Which would not surprise me if it factored into his decision.

Im hearing because he is having trouble getting kids into Male. Its very hard to get in outside the traditional program. Im sure some do but not like they used to. The demand to get into Male from the traditional middle schools is high. He goes to Central he will get any athlete he wants in. With the new law suit that Central parents won a couple of years ago, there enrollment will start increasing and should be able to move up in class.
