Nelson County @ John Hardin

Featured Replies

This game was very close for 2 1/2 quarters just a few weeks ago, and then the wheels fell off for the Cardinals. John Hardin trying to prove they belong with the guys on the other side of the region. Thoughts?

May be an upset in the making....

Possible, but I doubt it, especially without Devin Boone.

I think somehow, someway that NC will play emotionally high and the ball may bounce their way. I say NC wins it in a fight til the end

The last time these two teams met, John Hardin tried to spot Nelson County with 21 points. Nelson County did not capitalize. They will have to take advantage of those types of opportunties if they want to win. John Hardin seems to be more consistent with each passing week. However, Nelson County is good enough to catch the Bulldogs nappin'...but only at home. This week's game is at John Hardin. I hope Nelson brings their game face, but I predict it could get ugly.

Well if memory serves me right just three weeks ago, John went up to Nelson Co. on the ten year anniversity of them winning the state title and won.

This game will be played at John who just went undeated in the district which was no easy feat considering they lost there QB during the Nelson Co. game.

No I don't think this game will be close John has a chip on there shoulder, something to prove to the state, this game might get ugly before halftime. Nelson Co. played a hard fought game at there place, this one will be at John. Might need to go ask St. X what it is like to play John at John.

All we can do is predict. The kids have to go out and execute the game plan. This is a nice rival that may get better.

I agree. Its good to see Nelson County moving forward. Although it may be a few years before they can really make a run, I'd be nice to associate NC:thumb: with good football.

Granted, JH plays good at home.

BUT, this years team doesnt even belong in the same sentence or paragraph for that matter with last years. NC will play hard as will JH. JH is nothing extroadinary and NC knows that. Both teams will play hard and if NC can avoid turnovers, they will be right in their at the end.

Nelson Co. fans,

First kids from Nelson Co. come out of the womb playing hard nose football and don't quit till the final whistle. But you are a few years away and I hope John keeps NC on the schedule when the new districts start next year.

No Name; your right this years team doesn't compare with last years.

If you do not associate Nelson County with good football, you must be a migrant worker. Nelson County has had 2 losing season in 15 seasons? Extraordinary talent runs in cycle in almost every school across the state and NC will rise again. After 15 years of success, the admin is getting on board. that will help tremendously!

Although they did just can their girls soccer coach for no apparent reason . . .

Coach Bruner has the team moving in the right direction. I know the game will be better than the last. John Hardin's offense will be in a dog fight. If Nelson can contain the big play they will have a chance.
