  1. I would disagree that they very young, 9 of 11 starters on defense are seniors, and on offense 7 of 11 are seniors. Their running game looks pretty solid, they are going to throw Studer, Stringer and Stokes at the opposition, potential to be a special year.....only time will tell
  2. Could be, hope that my prediction is more accurate!
  3. Looks as though they will have about 50-55 players on the roster, a number of kids will go both ways, but it looks as though they have enough depth to keep fresh legs on the field and not have 6 or 7 kids play every snap. My guess is that 20-23 kids will see significant snaps during a game, and that doesn't include special teams. Just my opinion for what its worth. I realistically see BW going 8-2, Mt. Healthy is somewhat of an unknown, but their qb has committed to Ohio State as an athlete so we know that young man can flat out play, I did hear they lost some quality kids on both the O line and D line to graduation, have no idea how good the replacements are....but my guess is they will be pretty darned good....I think that game is winnable. CCH and Dixie are going to tough, as they always are.....still sticking with 8-2
  4. To be more accurate he takes shots at BW whenever he gets the chance.
  5. Hard to fire yourself when the HC is the AD
  6. Seems as though you have an axe to grind regarding Beechwood, I guess being in the top 5 in the state academically has nothing to do with the teachers or administrators at Beechwood, I guess every kid who goes there is just gifted....believe what you want. I know plenty of so called "average" kids who have gone to Beechwood, and the sons of those "average" students who now go to Beechwood, not a so called stud in the crowd, either on the football field or in the classroom....they sure seem to enjoy the atmosphere at Beechwood, whether its competing for playing time or competing in the classroom, they seem to enjoy it....guess I better tell them they are buried, have no shot at success, and maybe should transfer to whatever school you attended, since you seem to have all the answers.
  7. From what I hear, Beechwood had a few freshmen transfer in, and the middle school had a number transfer in as well. That's what I hear from a good source.
  8. Thanks, we will be sure to attend
  9. I have to agree that the workouts during the month of June are something that I didn't have to endure "back in the day", but what do you do, all the other programs use that time for conditioning and strength training, guess its like keeping up with the Jones's. It seems as though all the sports in high school have become year round enterprises, and I'm not so sure that is a good thing.
  10. Thanks Ram, I heard it is top notch, I heard it is on June 24, can anyone confirm the date and time.
  11. Great post, I think I know the young man you are referring to, hard work and perseverance seem to pay off. If it is the young man I am thinking of, he worked his butt off and kept his chin up....and good things happened for him.
  12. I remember seeing something about a small school camp being held at Ballard. Heard it was a great camp and the kids get a lot of eyes on them. Does anyone have any details on the camp? Thanks
  13. Could not agree more, Hansel was an athletic beast, Olmstead is a big kid, but his athleticism leaves a lot to be desired. He will play college ball and I hope he does very well, but I think big D 1 is a stretch.
  14. Some kids choose not to come back for a variety of reasons, some for academics, some because they lost the desire, and some see the handwriting on the wall. Hate to lose any kids, starters or non starters, but I think it would be irresponsible at best to imply the coaches don't care.
  15. They are both tall and lean, saw them both at the gtown camp today, both measured at 6'4"+, one weighed 229, the other was 208. I know their dad and they are doing all they can to pack a few more pounds on, guess its a metabolic thing.
  16. The young NGO men listed above need to worry more about the team, than their own accomplishments, if they do that they have a chance to be great, if some of them remain ego centric they wii suffer the same fate in 2015.
  17. I don't know much about either team, but I am pulling for SK
  18. Scott should have a good freshmen team, as 8th graders they were big and athletic. Got to see one of their games and they looked to have 40-50 kids on their roster, not sure if that was just an 8th grade team or a combination of 7th and 8th graders. Either way, they were pretty darn good, curious to see how they will do this upcoming year.
  19. That is a fact, you need to get over it
  20. Coach J, is this just for kids in the Louisville area, or is it open to young men from the state? Would love for my son to attend, but wanted to make sure.
  21. Beechwood is having a camp this year, should be a good one
  22. Highlands beating BW is laughable
  23. Congrats to the Eagles, good luck in the region
  24. Bottom line, the behavior was bush league IMO, but the only way to stop that behavior is to block out the noise and perform. Both teams are very good, wish them both the best in regionals, and last, but not least, Stringer will be fine, one bad outing doesn't define the kid, he's a gamer and will be ready next time Mullins hands him the ball.
  25. Good subtle jab at knothole baseball, why don't they just tell all those sorry kids who play at that level to give it up, obviously if they don't play for an elite summer team that plays 60+ games, they should just quit.
