The Lady Eagles won the Pulaski Co. Holiday tournament with a hard fought win this afternoon vs. the host school Pulaski Co (10-3). The Eagles were without Taylor Stinson who went home earlier in the day sick. The game went to overtime. Tibbs led the Eagles with 31 points and 16 rebounds. Stinson, Jackson and Tibbs were named to the all tournament team. Overcame some adversity and won a good one. Good team effort!!!

Another good win for Scott in the Pulaski Co. Holiday Tournament. Tibbs led Scott with 28 points. Taylor Stinson comes up big again with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Sarah Kuhse had 11 and hit some big shots as well. Scott led the whole way. Southwestern had a fantastic guard who had 43 last night and scored around 22 tonight. She could shoot it from anywhere. (sorry. I cannot recall her name)

Stinson has really stepped up and hit some big shots and adds another legitimate scoring threat for Scott. Tibbs and Stinson are beginning to work together in the high/low looks and beating the double/triple teams on Tibbs.

Clark did press off and on all night either full or half court trap. Bamforth did a nice job of handling it better than the typical Scott teams have in the past.

Scott Lady Eagles battled back from a 6 point halftime deficit for the win. Tibbs came back from two days with the flu to lead the Eagles with 26. Taylor Stinson hit some big baskets down the stretch and had 16. Kelsey Bamforth handled the pressure and hit some big shots as well. The Eagles are 5-2 going into the break. Great win Eagles.

I totally agree. In this electronic age, it cannot be that difficult to get stats reported to the paper each week. Designate somone on your staff to do this. It is great PR for the school and most importantly great PR for the players.

With 35 points tonight in Scott's win over Bracken County, Lauren Tibbs went over 1500 career points on her 17th birthday. Great job Lauren.

Tibbs had a fabulous game. 35 points and 11 rebounds with nine D1 coaches in attendance. (Marquette, Notre Dame, Clemson, Wisconsin, Evansville, Bowling Green OH, UC, Southern Illinois and Florida). Stinson stepped up again and hit the game winner with 2.5 seconds left when everyone sagged in on Tibbs.

Taylor Stinson led the Lady Eagles with 24 and Tibbs chipped in with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor really attacked the basket and took advantage of all of the attention being shown Tibbs.

Tibbs is a junior and as I understand it, there are many D1 schools looking and evaluating her. She has a number of offers as well. NKU, Ole Miss and Miami of Ohio were in attendance at the Ryle game. Marquette was not in attendance. According to Lauren's family, Marquette is extremely interested, but they are coming to a game later in the year.

It was a great game. Scott played very well but had some key mistakes down the stretch at crunch time. There were times they did not exploit the double team with good ball reversal. There were also key times where Tibbs did not touch the ball when she needed to. They really did not have an answer for her inside. I really like how Mason got the ball in Keller Menke's hands at key times and she made the most of it.

I can only comment on the last part of your quote. It was a very nice event. They ran right on time and it was a nice opportunity for our girls to see some other teams. We have been to other hoopfest events and they have run up to an hour behind. Great job Scott Co. HS

I saw the second half of the Casey Co and Simon Kenton game and Casey Co won fairly easily. I did not see the first half. They kept score by half. Scott HS defeated Knox Central by about 20. Some good things for Scott and some not so good. Pretty typical of a first scrimmage. Overall, they are very young. Bamforth at the point and Tibbs inside played very well. Does anyone have any other results?

Scott has a pretty good point guard this year so that should be an area of improvement. Taylor Stinson is an up and coming 4 and should help Tibbs inside. They are going to be pretty young overall. They need to find a consistent shooter and find as many ways as possible to get the ball to Tibbs inside. She is the real deal but needs help.

I agree. They have the great tradition and good returning players. They are the favorite and the returning champ until someone knocks them off. That will not be easy.

Tibbs' ankle is ok. She played in their final game this morning. Cutter had a rough first half and could not get over the hump in the second half. They played much better but did end up losing. Overall it was a good tournament.

Cutter Hoopsters won three today to finish pool play in the Run for the Roses Classic at 3-1. They earned the #1 seed from their pool and will start bracket play tomorrow at KBA at 11:40. Well done Lady Hoopsters!!!

Cutter Hoopsters moved onto the Run for the Roses tournament in the Lexington area. (July 9-11) They lost by 1 today. They play three tomorrow. They finished 5-2 in the USJN tournament this weekend. (Two losses by 2 points and 4 points) Keep playing hard!!!!

It is Taylor Jackson from Scott. They needed an extra player and she came on board and did a good job.

I was there with a group of girls from N. Ky playing in the U16 division. My attention was pretty much focused at that level so I am not sure about the U14 and U15. The girls from N. Ky played very well. (B. Towles, K. Allen, S. Wainscott, L. Tibbs, T. Jackson and a few other younger girls). They won their pool defeating the Louisville Sting by 30 points. They eventually lost to the Louisville Legends in the semi finals. The Legends won the entire tournament. What a fabulous team. Several D1 signees and they pretty much dominated everyone they played. To our girls credit, they played poorly the first half against the legends in the semis, but outscored them in the second half and put up 68 points. (The most by any team in the tournament against the Legends) All of the girls contributed. Tibbs led them in scoring averaging about 24 a game.

Scott Lady Eagles will also be playing in the Thomas More team camp the week of June 15 and maybe the University of Louisville team camp in July.

The Blue Team playing in the top division lost in the finals of the tournament. Overall performed very well after just coming together in this tournament. They will be playing the next two weekends in Louisville at the Mid America Sports Center. This will give them some additional playing time together as a team.

Bekah Towles and Lauren Tibbs played with the Blue Chip All Stars this past weekend in Atlanta. They may play in another tournament with that organization later this summer. Bekah and Lauren joins Katie Allen, Allie Conner, Devin Beasley and others on the Cutter Hoopsters and will be playing in a variety of exposure tournaments in July.

Enjoyed a great all star game last night at Thomas More College. A long list of great athletes going to some great colleges on both teams. It was a very exciting game. The Kentucky all stars overcame a 10 point second half deficit to win the game down the stretch. The girls from the Northern Kentucky area really represented our area very well.
