  1. I totally agree. My only point was it would not have been quite that lopsided with dixie's leading scorers on the floor.
  2. Dixie's leading scorer did not play at all due to injury and their second leading scorer saw limited action due to injury. With them at full strength, the score would not have been this one sided.
  3. Thanks for the support. It was very nice meeting you last night. Lauren told me last night that she has the highest respect for Jenna and the entire Ryle team. Abby Jump came and found Lauren after the game to wish her well and Jenna passed along similar wishes.
  4. Jenna played a great game. Tibbs had 29 points and 10 rebounds and played her heart out on senior night. Coach Earley from Marquette was there to support Lauren on senior night and was also there to watch Jenna. They both did not disappoint.
  5. You summed up this very frustrating season extremely well. Injuries to key players have not helped. They have not progressed and found a way to improve or develop different offensive sets to address this. I am amazed at the numbers that Tibbs (24ppg and 11.6 rpg) and Stinson (12 ppg and 7 rpg) have still been able to put up with the defenses they have seen and the number of lost possessions due to turnovers. (especially Tibbs' numbers)
  6. True on all accounts. Trimpe was really developing and could have really helped them down the stretch
  7. Too many turnovers doomed the Lady Eagles again. Pendleton Co made a nice run in the second half and shot very well from the free throw line. Tibbs led Scott with 31 points and 14 rebounds. Stinson had around 15. It was announced that Lauren Tibbs was nominated as a McDonalds High School All American prior to the game. First in Scott High school history. Congratulations Lauren!
  8. Final from Union. It was a great atmosphere and a great game. The box and chaser that Ryle ran all night on Shrout was very gutsy and very effective. Boone had a hard time figuring it out in the first half being down 23 to 16. They came out strong in the second half and Moss got going. Ryle answered the run and controlled things down the stretch with their spread offense.
  9. Final according to KHSAA web site. Closer than I expected. Details?
  10. Home recovering from pneumonia. Congratulations to the Lady Eagles for battling so hard without Tibbs.
  11. This was much closer than I anticipated. Scott hung tough for most of the game but could not overcome too many turnovers. Tibbs battled hard again with 22 points and 16 rebounds but could not match the balanced team scoring of GRC.
  12. I have seen St. Henry play twice. They are well coached and disciplined on both the defensive and offensive ends. I think it will be a good game, but in the end Ryle has too many ways to beat you and will prevail in this one.
  13. Thank you. Wow! Some very impressive names and numbers from N. KY basketball history.
  14. Closer than I would have suspected. Brossart must have hung in there pretty well. Any details?
  15. I am curious where did you find that information. I would like to see some of the other names on the list. Thanks for the information.
  16. The press was definitely the difference. Campbell Co. Played extremely hard and deserved the win. Scott was very short handed tonight as one starter was out as the result of a car accident on the way home from school and their top scorer off the bench sprained her knee yesterday. The press literally wore Scott down and allowed CC to make a big run early in the fourth quarter to stretch out a very close game to 8 to 10 points. Tibbs did everything she could scoring 32 and left nothing on the floor. She needed some help.
  17. Wow! I thought Ryle would have the advantage, but would not have predicted a 36 point victory against a good SK team.
  18. Wainscott makes SK go. She is excellent at coming off screens and penetrating vs. Man or zone. All three SK guards can shoot it. I have not seen Ryle this year, but know they will match up well. They should have an advantage inside. Should be a great game between two well coached teams.
  19. Lauren Tibbs scored 28 points in tonight's win vs. Simon Kenton and became the all time leading scorer in Scott HS history. (boys and girls) She broke her coach's record of 2485 points. Tibbs has 2504 points after tonight's game. Congratulations Lauren!!
  20. The Lady Eagles hung on and won a big game tonight vs. a very good Simon Kenton team. Great defensive effort by Taylor Jackson and Tibbs and Stinson did a great job scoring inside.
  21. I was very impressed with Brossart considering how young they are. They battled and really out hussled Scott for most of the night. IF Scott can stablize their guard play a little they are very difficult for most teams to deal with inside. There is no doubt that they are struggling and there were many instances last night that they did not look like a good team. The key will be where they are at the end of February. Scott is young as well at key positions. An eighth grader and freshman both have key roles and are learning and developing. I know Lauren Tibbs and she is way too nice to beat you up.
  22. Congratulations to the Lady Eagles for battling back after being down at the end of the third quarter. A very physical and hard fought game throughout. I was very impressed with Brossart's hussle and effort. Tibbs led Scott with 26 and Stinson chipped in a very important 20.
  23. Congratulations Sydney!! Great accomplishment with many more to come.
  24. Correction!! Miscommunication on Lauren's rebound total after the game. She finished with 16 rebounds.
