  1. Ball control is exactly the key. IF Scott can consistently pass the ball well, they have the front line to compete. I have not seen anyone in N. Ky pass the ball as efficiently and control the ball as well as Notre Dame and St. Henry. Scott has come a long way over the past three years and will be fun to watch.
  2. Scott played very well and lost to a very good Henry Clay team. Scott was missing OConner and Tibbs on Friday night and Tibbs on Saturday. They had their full team on Sunday so they were still putting the pieces together. When they pass the ball well, they are very powerful up front. Scott has upgraded their schedule through the tournaments they are playing in. By the end of the season they will be a team to make a solid run at the typical regional powerhouses (Notre Dame and St. Henry)
  3. Lauren Tibbs has been playing well this July with the Central Kentucky Angels. She just narrowed her original list down to her final four schools. (Florida, Marquette, Dayton and WKU) Started with over 30 schools including UC, Wisconsin, UK, Louisville, Notre Dame, Ole Miss Georgia. Picked up some interest from Duke, Purdue and DePaul this July. She plans on making her decision prior to the early signing period in November.
  4. I found out that there were scheduling issues again for the CKA. They were supposed to be in the top division but ended up in the next division.
  5. The exposure tournament at Murfreesboro, TN started today. The Central Kentucky Angels won their first two games today. The report that I got said their morning game was a little bit sloppy, but they won by 40 in the afternoon game. Huge tournament with literally 100's of teams from all over.
  6. You are probably right. They are playing in the top division.
  7. They were in the silver bracket in Lexington. They registered for the Gold, but were left off the schedule. By the time it was caught and corrected, they could only get into the silver. They will be playing in the elite division at MTSU. My wife accompanied my daughter so I will post some updates throughout the week.
  8. Had the opportunity to attend the Run for the Roses basketball tournament this weekend in Lexington. My daughter is playing with the Central Kentucky Angels. It was very exciting to see the multitude of talented teams from all over the nation and the multitude of college coaches in attendance. CKA has girls from all over the state. They really played well and finished 4-1. They are off to the "Battle of the Boro" this week in Murfreesboro, TN.
  9. Tibbs is down to Marquette, Florida, Dayton, WKU, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, OH, Mississippi. All have offered and she is going to narrow it down some more once the July evaluation period ends. She plans on making a decision by this fall.
  10. Lauren Tibbs of Scott High School is from the 10th region and she is number 4 on the list.
  11. Varsity Teams: Oak Hills, Mercy, NCC, Boone County, McNicholas, Scott, Batavia, St. Pats., Cooper, Campbell Co., Dixie, Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow, Madeira, Conner, St. Henry, Holmes, Notre Dame, Simon Kenton. There is a JV division as well. Sites are Thomas More, Dixie, St. Henry. The last six teams I mentioned will be there on varied nights. Some of them will only be there one night. The rest are scheduled for the entire week. (Mon. - Thurs.) Hopefully this helps.
  12. In my original post, I was looking for details on the girls' game. Any details on that game? Leading scorer? Sounds like a great game if it went to OT.
  13. Anybody have details of the game last night in Indy? Score?
  14. They have to develop a point guard. They have 5 of their first six players back from last year. The point guard position is a key. They have a sophomore who has potential and has done ok this summer so far, but it will take some time. They also have a freshman who is developing into a more consistent shooter, but once again it is going to take some time. Stinson and Tibbs inside are a great 4-5 combination that will be hard for most teams to deal with. They need some other players to step up and become more consistent scorers so it does not always have to fall on Tibbs' shoulders.
  15. Just got back from the game. Sr. All Stars come out on top 107-83. It really was a great game and night. It was fun to see so much talent on the floor at one time. It was obvious with additional practice under their belt, the seniors would not be denied tonight. The juniors played very hard and cut the lead to single digits several times during the game but could not get over the top. The seniors stretched it out the last few minutes of the game.
  16. Part II of the Ky. Jr/Sr. all star scrimmages is tonight at 6:30pm. I am sure the senior team will be very motivated tonight after losing the first game on Monday night. I am headed down for the game and will give a full report later tonight.
  17. She will be there tonight. She was sick at home last night. She will be playing with the Jr All stars on Wednesday. She will probably be back playing at Cooper on Thursday or Friday. They are rotating their teams to give more players a chance to play. Lauren will be playing with Scott several nights at Thomas More next week.
  18. She was supposed to play last night but was home sick. (102 fever) She will be there tonight. She will be playing with the Jr. All star team on Wednesday and will not be at Cooper. Coach Klette is rotating combinations of players on different nights to give other players a chance to play. Lauren will be there on some other nights later in the week. She will be with them on Saturday at the University of Dayton team camp and play some next week at Thomas More.
  19. Anyone know how the scrimmage went tonight between the first group of Jr. All Stars and the Sr. All Stars?
  20. Lauren Tibbs will be playing with the Kentucky Junior All Stars vs the Senior All Stars on June 9. I was interested to know who the other players will be on the junior team.
  21. Tibbs is a top 10 player in the state, but Scott does not have enough supporting players to be in the class of teams listed above. They can make a run in the 10th region.
  22. I know the top three that you mention all lost key players. I am not sure what they have coming up. If Scott can find a guard, they might move up. Stinson and Tibbs inside will be hard to handle
  23. Lauren Tibbs was named the Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame player of the year. Coach Dawn was named the Coach of the year on the girls side. Congratulations and well done. Lauren also found out that she was selected to play with the Kentucky Junior All Star team in June and scrimmage the senior team prior to their games vs. Indiana.
  24. The NKCA held their end of season awards banquet today at Triple Crown Golf Course. It was a very nice banquet. Congratulations to all of the players and coaches receiving awards.
