Scott controlled this game from the beginning and played a great "team" game. There were lots of contributors in this one. Tibbs led the way with 39 points and 13 rebounds. Stinson added 14 points with 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Kuhse hit three 3's. Big win for the Lady Eagles as they go to 15-6.

How serious is Cutter's injury? Will she be back anytime soon?

I have not seen Notre Dame play this year. Thoughts?
-
I am not a resident of Boone Co. either but will be in attendance to see this game. I do not think that Ryle has the inside game to match up and contain Moss. They will match up well on the perimeter.
-
I have to agree overall. Crittendon would be in that same class.
-
Taylor Stinson was mentioned in a previous post. She is someone to watch. She is developing her post game and her confidence is growing. With Tibbs getting so much defensive attention night after night, Taylor is beginning to step up and become a player to keep you eye on.
-
The double and triple teams are making it difficult, but when she is guarded straight up she is hard to handle.

Taylor Stinson led the Eagles as Harrison County double and triple teamed Tibbs. Tibbs chipped in with 15. Good defensive effort the second half by the Lady Eagles, holding Harrison County to 14 points. Scott improves to 13-6 with the victory. They are still trying to get healthy.

Scott started slow but gained control with their size inside. Stinson and Tibbs were too much inside. Tibbs had a triple double with 22 points/14 rebounds and 10 blocks. I do not have Stinson's final stats but I am sure she had a double/double. This win creates an interesting situation in the district seeding. I have heard there will be a coin toss to determine the number one seed. (Brossart def. Camp. Co/ Camp. Co def Scott/ Scott def. Brossart)

Campbell County 50 Scott 33

From my observations of Scott's team here are a few thoughts. 1. I am not sure that everyone knows the offense. It looks very ragged at times for 17 games into the season compared to other teams. 2. Offensive execution is poor. (passing, screening, sharp cuts, etc.) 3. I am not sure that some of the girls have a true understanding of the game and when and where the ball needs to go. They struggle with understanding match ups and beating the double teams with ball reversal. 4. Some of the offensive sets they try to run are not well thought out. I think there are better ways to get Tibbs better looks inside. When teams play Scott straight up man to man, there is no reason that they should not have 2-3 basic sets that are well executed that they go to and Tibbs touches the ball everytime. -

Campbell controlled things throughout. Scott is missing two key starters due to injuries which really hurts their chances in most games at this point. -

Scott HS plays Elliott Co at Jackson City on Saturday, Feb. 13. -
Do not know the full extent of the injury.

Scott was down 25-11 at halftime. They lost their point guard midway through the first half due to injury. They could have folded and lost by a bunch. They fought back against a very good Highlands team who had their starters in the game until the last minute of the game. Tibbs had 21 for Scott and Towles played very well and had 21 for Highlands.

Congratulations to the Lady Eagles on a big win. They go to 11-4 with the win.

Boone County 70 Scott 51

Having seen both play, I have a tremendous amount of respect for both teams. At this point, I give the edge to Boone simply because Moss and Davis give them a strong post presence and they can match Ryle fairly well on the outside. This will most certainly be an emotionally charged match up and it is difficult to gage what affect that will have on the ultimate outcome. It will be a great game. -

Having attended the game last night, I would only agree with one part of your comment. They did shut everybody else down, but they did not "let" Tibbs score 31. She worked amazingly hard against double and triple teams to get the 31. -

I know that she has 10 official offers. Conferences include SEC, Big 10, Big East, MAC, Sun Belt. Her family has said that there are probably 15-20 other schools that are still evaluating her and most of those schools are in the same conferences. There are a couple of ACC schools as well. From conversations with Lauren, it has been a very exciting but challenging experience so far. Lauren has a very difficult decision ahead for her. She has certainly handled it very well. -
Boone Co had too much for the Lady Eagles tonight. A well balanced attack from outside and inside. I do not have specific numbers on Boone Co, but Moss was tough on the inside even though she got in some foul trouble. Tibbs led Scott with 31 and played her heart out as usual against the wave of Boone Co. defenders.
-
Unfortunately I have to agree. Scott is playing better this year, but Boone has too many weapons for Scott to deal with. Boone can also neutralize Tibbs because they can afford to double and triple team her.

Scott/St. Henry Predictions (1-2)
Larry Bud replied to Larry Bud's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
She ended up getting very little help. -
St. Henry had a very sound game plan. They had 3-4 players on Tibbs all night in a 2-3 zone and Scott did not adjust very well at all. Scott was missing a key player tonight. Taylor Stinson is still sick and did not play. That allowed St. Henry to focus all of their attention on Tibbs. She ended up with 12 points and she missed a 3 at the buzzer that would have tied it. St. Henry hung tough and did what it took to get the win.
-
Do not know that many specifics about St. Henry this year. I know they are typically well coached and will really get after it. I would imagine that Scott will really have to bring their "A" game if they want stay close in this one.

Kelsey Bamforth was also named to the All Tournament Team. Sorry for the omission. She has really handled the point guard responsibilities really well.
