Well, the BIG NAIL just hit the BIG HEAD! It's been obvious for several years, Elliott gets a small headline on page 2 or 3, unless it's a loss, then it's front page.

Wasn't it just a few days ago everyone was pretty much in agreement these polls have become more accurate this late in the season?:confused:

Elliott County's trio of Ferguson, Ethan and Evan Faulkner now have a combined total of over 7,000 points. Has any Kentucky high school ever held this record?

I've not missed a home or away game in several years. See my avatar, that's us at Rupp last year. Our student section got killed out a few years ago by the principal. He did away with signs, and rowdy kids chanting. The last kids I saw with Elliott County face and body paint was at Richmond year before last, and they were not even Elliott kids, they were Lawrence County kids cheering for us. When I think of student sections, Russell and Morgan and some others have good ones.:taz:

There is no student section. All those rowdy loud fans are parents.

Elliott is the same way. If not for the parents, families, and the faithful fans, the gym would be empty.

I really knew what you meant, Old Shooter. I was referring more to the fact Ashland has been known to not want to play a team in their region when they know they probably won't win. Kind of like in the Rose Hill/Mayo days. Elliott plays, up or down.

Well, not really. They could still play the game they had scheduled with Elliott and cancelled.

I thought it was pretty cool, adds a nice touch. I figured there would be kids trying to ride him.

Elliott enjoys playing at Raceland, it is the best facility in the region. Elliott and Raceland have a long tradition of playing each other, even when one team may down for a season. It shows great sportsmanship from both teams to keep a game on the schedule. IMO Ashland should take a lesson from their Raceland neighbors and reschedule with Elliott.

Congratulations to SV. It's great to see the losing and/or opposing team's supporters congratulating each other unlike some who want to slam and belittle high school kids playing a game. They are kids, and it is a game, somebody has to win, somebody has to lose, and the next game it will be the other way around. Everybody needs a chance to shine.

Way to go Ferg, YOU ROCK! There will always be somebody who wants to tear somebody else down because of a great accomplisment, sad but true. Ferg, you earned it, YOU GO!!! :banana::fight::dancingpa:clap:

Agree with you cat fan 100%. Chris should have also been on all tourney team. He is a great asset and steps up when needed. He never gets the recognition he deserves.

If Largo would be a top 15 team in Kentucky, and they are not in the top 25 in Maryland, then Maryland basketball must be awesome?:idunno:
