  1. The reason I left them out was Camden County beat them 35-0 in the playoffs.
  2. HHS has a tremendous program, but no way are they number 2 in the US. I will not take the time to name 25 teams, but here are a few. South Panola (MS) Camden County(GA) Hoover (AL) Prattville (AL) John T. Curtis ( LA) South Lake Carroll (TX) Byrnes (SC) Dorman (SC) Lowndes County (GA) Northside Warner Robbins (GA) St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) Don Bosco Prep (NJ) Jenks (OK) Tulsa Union (OK) These are just a few off the top of my head. HHS has a wonderful program. I have coached against those guys a few times and know them personally, and they are classy guys. Like I said no disrespect intended, but. I make this same arguement about Maryville, TN. They are always ranked high, but never play the other top 25 teams. I want to see them and Highlands come down south. Bosco flew to Prattville this year and Byrnes and St. Thomas played. So if you want to be the man, beat the man.
  3. Like I said all along, Larry Welch will right the ship at South.
  4. What is going on with Madison Central? I can't believe they haven't won a game. Anyone have any info on that situation?
  5. Is Madison Southern going to underachieve from now until the end of time?
  6. There are three classes in TN. In the playoffs the three classes split in half, according to enrollment and make 6. Virtually there are six classes, but to qualify for the playoffs there are only 3. So in your district you play against schools with different enrollments. Example 1a and 2a make up class 1A. 3a and 4a make up 2A. Soddy Daisy is a 6a school that is 3A until the playoffs start. Soddy is a very average team. Good win for Bell.
  7. What is up with PT? Changes at the end of the year possibly?
  8. Will they open up a search at the end of the season or just give it to the guy acting as HC now?
  9. Trousdale is nowhere near the 9th best team in the state. I think Mayfield beats TC this week. Trousdale is probably not in the top 100 teams in the state. They are class A.
  10. South only has half their team out there due to eligibility issues. SL will be a different team after week 5. They have 5 starters out.
  11. Hate to say I told you so, but...
  12. Remember Alcoa is 3A. There are six classes in the state with two private classes.
  13. Doesn't have anything to do with TN. Bell gets all the calls on Log Mountain.
  14. Big difference in what Bell calls athletes and what Alcoa calls athletes. Just look at UK. Randall Cobb, Kyrus Lanxter. Thats just two. Alcoa has guys like that every year. You will see. The only thing that will keep this game close is the refs on Log Mountain.
  15. Not saying Bell doesn't have a great coach. Just saying Alcoa has a ton of athletes and a great coach. Gary Rankin, look him up.
  16. It wasn't a cheap shot at MC. Just saying its a different league. I could have used Madison Southern, Knott County, Lynn Camp, or anybody. Alcoa is pretty good. I didn't realize their line was that stacked. Now I don't think the game will even be close. Alcoa has a great coach on top of all the other things mentioned. Sorry to the raider fans in Whitley City. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, no disrespect intended.
  17. If the refs stay out of it, Alcoa will win. You just think you have seen speed until you see Alcoa. Different game against this type of competition. Alcoa is not McCreary Central. They will have several D1 athletes. I am not sure about Alcoa's line. If Bell is overwhelmingly better up front they could pull it off. If the lines are equal then Alcoa will win big.
  18. I saw Da'rick Rogers last weekend at a camp. There is no one in the state of KY that looks like him. On top of that his team is loaded and they couldn't win the 2a state title in Georgia. What does that tell you? Collinsworth and Fugate are good players, but they would be fairly common in the south.
  19. Kentucky just doesn't have the number of athletes other states have. I feel like the best teams in KY can play with anybody, but the lower tier teams are pathetic. In other states the lower tier teams are still bad but have some outstanding athletes that would be superstars in KY.
  20. Alvis Johnson? LOL! When people say he is a good coach it makes me laugh. Some of you people know nothing about coaching. He couldn't win a state title with a college team playing in class A. He wouldn't have ever won a game if he had to play with athletes equal to everyone else's.
  21. NFL football and college football don't have anything to do with high school football. Thats where alot of coaches screw up. Its a different game.
  22. Thank You 3 wishes. Not many teams could survive that schedule, hence the low numbers. The kids didn't want to go get there brains beat out everyweek.
