  1. I cannot think of any reason why they shouldn't be allowed to play. Let them compete as long as they can against boys. It is for a limited time and if they want to pursue this as long as they can, no reason to stop them.
  2. Only three NBA players averaged 25, 7, 7 this year. LeBron was one of the three. LeBron led the NBA in baskets made in the 4th quarter in both the regular season and the playoffs to date.
  3. It is hard to knock Elly but he almost blew the game showing off his arm. Threw what should have been the final out into the stands. Easy out grounder but he loads up, takes a couple steps then tries to throw the ball 120 MPH to first. Diaz gets a strikeout to end it with runners on 2nd and 3rd.
  4. Pathetic. Why doesn't someone in these schools speak up when this happens, There are no squatter rights in sports. Play the best and win. I don't care if daddy founded the school.
  5. I believe Lee is one of those classic arguments - potential or production? The measurables are not there for him to be a high draft pick. The production is there. The Bengals have bookended their draft with two players at opposite ends of the spectrum. The #1 pick Mims has great measurables and is almost all about potential with limited production. The last drafted player Lee is all about production with all the question marks on his potential/measurables. It will be interesting to watch how these two develop in the same system.
  6. Player to keep your eye on out of this draft - Matt Lee. Especially those people who want to see a proven player with production out of college that might be able to jump in right away. He is a 5th year senior who did not allow a sack all year and only allowed one QB hit. One site called him an elite pass protector.

  8. Easy calls to make. He was a stud. That game was a lot of fun. Some great players in that one. Atmosphere at Campbellsville was fantastic. They did a fireworks intro for the team.
  9. Congrats to Malachi Corley and I am not surprised. I saw him play in person as a junior in the 1A semifinals against Beechwood. Here is the thread from that game and some of my comments about him back then. This game was a battle. Don't be fooled by the final score. Malachi Corley is the real deal for Campbellsville. So is Logan Castleman for Beechwood. Both teams made mistakes and turnovers that you usually don't see from these teams. It was not the most well played game you will see, but it was very entertaining with great plays and players on both teams. Campbellsville came out strong. They moved the ball pretty well their first two drives. Corley made an impossible catch. While being perfectly guarded on a long pass down the sideline, Corley reach over the defender with one hand and took what looked like a sure interception away with a one handed catch. Odell Beckham would have been jealous of that catch. The Tigers learned they were facing a special player, and adjusted the defense in response. Campbellsville held nothing back and went for it on 4th down on their first two drives, but the Tigers defense got stops both times. The Beechwood coaches made adjustments on defense at halftime, doubling Corley and using a 3 man defensive line. That worked and the Tigers fought their way out to a 34-13 lead in the third quarter. Then they scored early in the fourth quarter to stretch the lead to 41-13 and Campbellsville finally appeared to realize the Tigers were too much. Campbellsville was an impressive team. Malachi Corley may be a candidate for Mr. Kentucky next year. He is that good and he is only a junior. Several other key players are underclassmen, including quarterback Arren Hash. Campbellsville will be a force next year in 1A.
  10. Bengals getting good value on their picks so far, based on ratings. The WR is the best value rated about 30 picks higher than where the Bengals got him. No reaches for the Bengals in these picks.
  11. I haven't been watching the draft. I just now went and looked at who picked who in round 2 and what a surprise. Jenkins was the 6th DT taken in round 2? There were some reaches ahead of the Bengals for sure. The shocker was Sweat getting picked this early. After the DWI on top of his other character issues, I thought he was round 4 at best. The Bengals have to be happy that Jenkins was still available after all those DT's got picked ahead of them. And what are the Falcons doing? It is like they are evaluating players different than everyone else in the NFL.
  12. These size of these top rated DT's is interesting. Many of them, more than half, are under 305 pounds, which feels light in today's NFL. Jenkins listed at 299 is one of the bigger DT's in the top of the draft.
  13. I believe he was the third ranked DT by a lot of the analysts.
  14. I will say this about Mims. The few clips I saw of him were very impressive. Great foot work and great mobility for someone his size.
  15. These guys who weigh three hundred and forty pounds and look like they're in great shape are amazing.
  16. I think I saw this post in 2023, and 2022, and 2021, and ..... how long have you been a Steelers fan?
  17. The only player you listed that I think could start next year is the WR. Personally, I have higher hopes for Volson than Karras.
  18. What player could they have taken at 18 that would be starting this coming season? With Trent Brown's injury history, odds are Mims will play some.
  19. Reds were over 2 million last year. I think they will exceed that this year.
