Good quote, and true. That all comes down to good defense, especially in the last four minutes of the game. Those have been trademarks of Cal's as a head coach - good defense and good at closing out games. If they don't keep getting better in those two areas, it will be another short tournament run. The other thing Cal will need to do with this team is tweak his in game coaching style. He is usually a let them play through it coach. He is going to have to have a quick trigger on substitutions and manage his substitutions more with this team. He did that some against LSU. One time I remember in particular, Dillingham dribbled up court and threw a horrible pass out of bounds just after passing half court. Cal immediately pointed to the bench and got him out of there. Cal is going to need to make more in game substitutions responding to what is and isn't working. He also will need to roll longer with a 5 that is getting it done. His usual sub pattern style isn't going to work with this group. Too many players with holes in their game.

Agree. Guess what I heard on a morning sports talk show? They played a clip from that women's basketball conversation during the game. I think ESPN had an agenda to generate talking points for other broadcasts.

There was a 5-10 minute stretch where they just stopped commenting on the game and turned into a women's basketball talk show. And I agree, it wasn't Jay Williams fault. The other guy would not get off of it. It was a ten minute commercial for women's basketball in the middle of the game.

I agree with that. My point is losing on the road to LSU is not a "bad" loss. Power 5 road losses happen on a regular basis.

It does not negate Auburn. This is not a bad loss. Auburn was a quad 1 win and that carries a lot of weight. You let a team off the hook and that's what happens. Way too many bad possessions on both ends by UK. You have to bring it every possession.

A lot of the people suffering from vaccine issues would be dead or suffering similar issues without the vaccine. How many unvaccinated people are suffering from long COVID issues? People are still dieing at a high rate. My guess is those dieing are unvaccinated. I am glad I got vaccinated. I've had COVID three times since being vaccinated and my symptoms amount to a runny nose and one time I had one day of a little fatigue. I don't plan on getting any more COVID vaccinations because I have immunity now and my body has proven it can handle the virus. But if we had another virus with similar death rates as COVID, I would take a vaccine without thinking twice.

Geography does make it almost unavoidable. 2A D1 also has 6 next to 2A D1 with 4.
