Boone has a challenging first 4 game start, Lafayette, Scott Co,Anderson Oh.,Highlands. No excuses,probably by the time they get past these games this will be a much improved team. I'm not a big believer in rankings, Sk taught me that last year. They have the backfield, just a matter of putting all the pieces together. I do understand your comment.

Randy Cooper was a very good person. I had the oppurtunity of getting to know him from some functions held at Ryle, and he was just a really nice man. Very happy that Cooper High School carrys his name, well deserved.

Does someone know the status of Mitchell Wendling. I heard he has injured his knee again. Hope this is not true, he is a player with alot of potential, and is very strong. He worked really hard to rehab his knee. This would be a big blow to CC.

Yes I believe Charles just turned 16 a little over 6 months ago! Most juniors are older than him.

I agree Quainoo will get most of the carries, but its going to be very exciting to watch Quainoo and Oppenheimer in the same backfield! Im also excited to see how the Rebels do throwing the ball, that is going to be very interesting!

How is Boone going to use Oppenheimer with Quainoo at tailback?

The Rebels offense is looking really good, the line looks like there coming along. Both Rbs look great. Alford is throwing the ball very well. I think BC biggest problem is going to be their deffense they have to get that together if they want to win big games!!!

Excellant reply. The QB can definitly pass, BUT, will the coach do it???? Just making the play offs is nice, BUT, at some point you have to change your play calling to try and win a state title, not just be satisfied with play offs each year. It seems other NKY 6A teams are taking that step.

Boone lost its starting QB last year against SK, which at the time, had been comming into his own passing the ball. He returns this year, also with Quainoo, who was leading the state in rushing yardage until an ankle injury side lined him late in the season. Oppenheimer, a sophmore, stepped in and gained good yardage to close out the season. Boone will have one of the top running back duos in the state this year, and will be able to pass with the return of their QB from last year. SK is the team to beat right now, no doubt. Looking forward to an exciting football season in 6A.

Yes he was he was really starting to get a lot of confidence, then thats when he got hurt. Hopefully he comes out this year just as strong as he ended up last year.
