IF they can find them a decent qb., I feel they could be better with ball control. They still will be very young on both sides of the ball, but with alot of them gaining valuable varsity experience , and with a favorable non district schedule, I think they could be 500 this season.:dancingpa

Given that they will likely lose all the district games in a very tough 6A district, they would have to win all of the non-district games wouldn't they? Who are their non-district opponents?

Non-district opponents for Cooper are Newport, Lloyd, Scott, Louisville Shawnee, and Holmes

On the surface this doesn't look that daunting, but I think Newport and Holmes in particular will be stout competition. Too much experience there for a second year team to overcome and I think Lloyd and Scott will be much of the same. I know nothing about Shawnee.

I agree that these games will be tough, but I think Cooper will match up well with them. All I know about Shawnee is that they are very athletic, but do not have many players on the team.

You are correct, this team is still VERY young. The freshman team at Cooper is going to be good, so the future does look bright!:dancingpa

Who will be running the Jaguars offense this year? what does their RB look like?

After watching the intra- squad scrimmage last sat. they looked well organized , alot better than last year. defense was moving to the ball alot better than last year ,and showing more agression . Offense looked better, last season when they made mistakes the kind of kept snow balling, but I was impressed that when they did make misstakes they didnt let it bother them, and moved forward with the next play. all and all I believe they will be better prepared and more competitive this season.

FB Matt Rudd and TB Devonte Bradley. Both showing decent speed and agility. Matt Rudd at fb. is running with alot of power up the middle when he carries for short yardage. Bradley showing good foot work inside and outside. But sometimes he carries the rock too loose, which I hope will not be his downfall.:taz:

Here is one Raceland fan that is pulling for Cooper. Raceland has a very personal connection to your school's namesake. Randy Cooper (Coop) was a Raceland alum and outstanding athlete and person at Raceland. A class man from a class family.....GO COOPER!!!! :thumb::thumb:

Randy Cooper was a very good person. I had the oppurtunity of getting to know him from some functions held at Ryle, and he was just a really nice man. Very happy that Cooper High School carrys his name, well deserved.
