Mercer girls set a new state record in the 4x400 for 2A with a 3:56.07. This girls team finished the year undefeated. Very difficult to do. All the girls return next year too. Exciting time in Harrodsburg!

The Boyle girls didn't run away with the title. They bested Mercer by 10 points and were tied going into the final two events. Congrats to the Boyle boys and girls. Great performances!!! It's really been fun watching the Boyle and Mercer girls battle it out all year.

On a personal note, my oldest daughter qualified for all four events she runs. Mercer Co. girls were runner up in AA Region 5.

The football playoffs are basically seeded. They use the district seeds to decide who plays who.

I can't speak for Coach Wright, but if I had been beating a team regularly and they get one on me, they were due. I don't like losing but it happens. I still say it is important to teach our kids to win with dignity and to lose with dignity. Doesn't matter to me the name on the jersey or who the coach is.

As I said, I think somewhere in the middle lies the truth. I have watched my daughter play against these coaches for the past few years. JV level for 2 and Varsity this year for one. (she was a middle schooler the JV 2) I found both coaches to be intense but pretty cool. I have no clue what happened, as I wasn't there. Again, IMHO, the truth lies in the middle.

I sincerely doubt there was any fear of undue harassment or unsafe moments.

So what you heard is exactly the opposite of what the other poster said. IMHO somewhere in the middle lies the truth. Also, IMHO, there is never a reason to teach our children to be unsportsmanlike. You win with dignity and you lose with dignity.
