  1. I think you can throw most everything out the window when these two teams play. Anything can happen until that final whistle blows. We've seen it happen too many times in the past 4 years between these two teams. It's a shame they both live in Region-3 District-5. However, the battle would inevitably be fought anyways at the next stage no matter where the teams were placed. It was just meant to be. Looking forward to this next chapter on Friday night! LCA has a special treat in store to make the RAMS "feel at home"! Not sure LCA can top Raceland's hospitality and atmosphere, but we'll give it our best shot. LCA almost had to let one of our coaches go this week when he came to to the coaches meeting on Sunday and said, "man, it sure wouldn't hurt my feelings if we traveled and played at Raceland every year, they have the best funnel cakes, and the crowd is just amazing"... He now knows better than to drink the kool-aid anymore when we're in Raceland. Have a safe trip!
  2. I remember that game all too well. I think that's when my heart stopped beating for about 2 minutes, and it's never been the same since. It wasn't just the onside kick that the RAMS executed flawlessly that evening. But 4 consecutively amazing plays in a row that put LCA on the ropes. LCA had just scored to go up "comfortably" by 2 scores with just over 2 minutes left in the game. The RAMS drive right down the field and score in 2 minute drill fashion (play #1). Then on the very next play (play #2), one of the best onside kicks I've ever seen. Then again, on the next play a 50 yard TD pass puts the RAMS within one point of LCA (play #3). Were there any more tricks in the bag that night? Wouldn't you know, on the extra point attempt, it appears the ball was centered off line to the holder just slightly up and behind his head. He jets right and throws a 2 point conversion pass to the endzone where I still don't know how that receiver caught the pass after juggling not once, not twice, but three or four times as he dove forward to the ground (play #4). If not for an amazing catch by LCA's Ben Hartley on LCA's desparation drive, the RAMS end up at Papa John's instead of the Eagles in 2007. Enjoy the flashback to 2007! http://www.LCASports.org/football/video/flashback_2007.html
  3. Lexington's WLAP 630am is available by Internet stream from their web site if you can't pick up 630am over the air. Just click on the Listen Live link on their web page: http://www.wlap.com/main.html
  4. Here's what the playoff picture looks like at the moment (RAM, you're all over it). Should settle out after next week's games.
  5. In a couple of weeks, things will begin to look a little clearer. This matchup looks like it would be a great game to catch. Massey has it pretty close with the nod going to CC in a one point game. More often than not, when two teams are matched that closely, and meet again in the playoffs, the loser of the first game approaches the playoff rematch with better focus and hunger and can reverse the previous game results. Good thing we don't play these games with stats, computers and rankings!
  6. Here's a link to one of these LCA player's 2008 cut-ups: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4277381
  7. I'm obviously biased.. but I have to agree! http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showpost.php?p=3375268&postcount=43
  8. Internet Streaming only. Video and Audio simultaneously. You can see previous games they've carried this year on their website. You'll need to install the latest Microsoft "Silverlight" streaming plugins to view the content.
  9. The game will be LIVE on WazooSports.com. However, the Breathitt Co. was supposed to be live this past week, but was not LIVE due to technical difficulties. The game replays on WazooSports.com are available early the following week.
  10. He didn't see this one coming... never knew what hit him... http://www.lcasports.org/football/bluegrass_auto_body_collision_of_the_week.html
  11. That was an awesome moment before the game started. Great way to start the season. It really put things in proper perspective. CPA is a first class act indeed. I was wishing I had brought my digital camera with me when the pre-game events occurred. I was bummed for a moment and then remembered the new video camera I was using had a photo mode so I fired off a few shots, not too bad for a video camera. Mr Williams, here's a link to the full resolution photo if you'd like to have that: http://www.LCASports.org/football/img/DSC00008.JPG Your family and the Fort Campbell team will be in our prayers this year. I was very impressed with the Falcons. I saw them play two years ago at Papa Johns and was equally impressed then as well. CPA was down 20-0 quickly but settled in and held their own the rest of the way. I expect a great matchup in Nashville this weekend.
  12. Kickoff will be at 7pm central time, 8pm eastern time. It will be live on WJMM 99.1 FM radio in the Lexington area. WJMM doesn't have the capability to stream live, but we have a "skunk works" streaming system setup that allows us to stream about 50 audio only feeds (first come, first served) for family members and LCA alumni outside the Lexington WJMM radio reception area. This should be up and running on WED if you want to make sure you can access the stream. The password to access the audio feed is "BLUTO Rocks!"
  13. Harrison Co. has selected a great football coach and person! Mark Carroll is the coach on the far right in this photo, closest to the camera.

  16. The Beechwood team was introduced at 20 minutes before game start, therefore the sparsely filled seats. I was surprised by the large bengal fan turnout for this game which you can see was very good from a later photo snapped during the game:

  18. http://www.gametapes.com/ But if memory serves me correctly... the KHSAA will sell them directly first (an order form was sent to our school about week after the games were over last year)... then at some point in the future, gametapes.com picks them up... http://www.khsaa.org/forms/ge42football.pdf

  21. The KHSAA has provided all the games on DVD for the past few years a few weeks after the finals are completed... these are fully produced with live play-by-play talent... so it appears that "cost" is already absorbed by the KHSAA and Insight... I'm not sure if this is just a replay of the IMAG shown on the big screen inside the stadium or if it is a separate production...
