Final.

Has Fugate signed with UT or only commited? I know he is only one player, but with a couple of fumbles, negative runs, etc. you have to wonder if he is all that he is cracked up to be.

LCA....BC

365...183 Rushing Yds.

169...146 Passing Yds.

534...340 Total Yds.

And that is why LCA is the clear cut favorite in 1A this year.

The battle of the backs:

20/68 yds/1TD.....Fugate (Breathitt Co.)

21/241 yds/4TD...Hayden (LCA)

Hayden was incredible. Not only did outrun the defense, but he must have averaged 5-10 YCDs (yards-carrying-defenders). The number of defenders necessary to bring him down is mind-boggling.

He also scored his 100th TD tonight.

This is an impressive win. I know Breathitt has lost a few this year, but the margin in this one is pretty impressive.

Sorry, it takes a team to make a player great, and some times great players are on poor teams to.

Nice win LCA. I believe you are the favorite.

Agreed... It is hard to judge him this yr after his performances last yr.

Breathitt Co. has lost some games early, but I still would not close the book on them yet this year. I do not believe they have played a district ball game this season.

Talk with a former Bobcat tonight here in Jackson and he told me that the talk around town was that Coach Holcomb was thinking about starting the freshman Trent at QB and benching Haddix as the QB. If any of this is true please respond.:thumb:

This team was in the state championship game last year, though. I would think that behind even a halfway competent line, a player being touted for state player of the year who has already signed with a major SEC power should be racking up yards. Did Breathitt graduate their entire line from last year's team?

Haddix was explosive. I would not replace him. He overthrew a reciever on a long bomb that could have easily gone for another score. I was impressed with him.

As it was, he was over 50% in his passing, for over 100 yards.

LCA made a believer out of me 5 weeks ago. They have the total package. Mail the 1A trophy to Lexington.
