Haddix was explosive. I would not replace him. He overthrew a reciever on a long bomb that could have easily gone for another score. I was impressed with him.

 

As it was, he was over 50% in his passing, for over 100 yards.

Plus, Haddix ran for about 90 yards on 14 attempts.

Great to see so many LCA Eagles get into the game & make a difference! :thumb: Hayden scored 4 TDs, but 5 other players had 1 TD each. (And I'm talking about when the varsities were on the field.)

 

A lot of underclassmen (including freshmen) saw some good playing time tonight.

What a football team :eek:!! The Eagles are absolutely loaded.

QB Witt's speed served him not only on his 51 yard TD, but also in avoiding the pressure that Breathitt was sometimes able to bring. They were only able to sack Witt once, thanks to Witt's speed & pressence of mind.

 

LCA was able to reduce it's mistakes. They only had 3 penalties last night (compared to 9 the week before). There was only 1 fumble & 1 sack given up. Those kind of low numbers of mistakes will serve you well.

When LCA got a hold on us and beat us (Lynn Camp) like this a couple of weeks ago, I was not suprised because it had happened last year.

 

THIS score suprised me. I agree, LCA is the 1A team to beat for the title.

Hayden really takes on a challenge head on! He has blown the doors off Quan Weaver and now Channing Fugate in head to head matchups.

I also noticed (with the help of the radio announcers!) that many times LCA's offensive linemen were making blocks 5-10 yards downfield. They were either pushing their man back, or had finished with their first assignment & had gone downfield to block someone else.

 

Here's a "Shout Out" to the Bubbas: Outstanding job!!!

And that is why LCA is the clear cut favorite in 1A this year.
