mcpapa Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Racelend travels to Lexington on Friday. Rams on a 4-game win streak, while LCA's only blemish on the season is a 1-point loss to Lexington Catholic. Thoughts?
Commander 25 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I would love to see the Rams pull out the victory. But I think that LCA will be too much. But that is why they play the game anything can happen.
Ram Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Raceland has defiantly improved over the season and are in much better shape going into this game then they would have been earlier in the season. But Raceland would have to play a flawless game to beat LCA, and they would have to play above their ability. Not saying it can't happen, but it would take a monumental effort by Raceland. LCA is a machine this year, and they are on, what could be, a march to their first State Championship. I look forward to the challenge and hope Raceland plays the game of their lives.

Ram Fan04 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Seeing how this is the same LCA team as last season, probably even better with gained experience. And Raceland is obviously not the same as last season. It is going to take Raceland bieng fundementally sound, and 100% perfect execution. Even with that it will take Raceland's best game all season and LCA's worst. But this is football and upsets happen every year. Just ask the Michigan Wolverines about when they played Appalachain State. Come out and play strong don't be intimadated RAMS! I'll be there supporting you just like any other game! PLAY STRONG, PLAY HARD!!
RamCat Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Gonna be a tough one for the Rams. The young and inexperienced players for the Rams are going to have to grow up real fast if they want to win this one. LCA is a very good football team and their key players have been starting varsity for 4 years now. Alot of experience on the LCA side. Raceland is going to have to keep the LCA offense off the field by sticking to the running game and trying to make it a defensive game. No chance for the Rams if this turns into an offensive shoot out. I like the way the Rams D has been playing so Im not going to completely write them off friday night for an upset. Hayden has never impressed me in all the games I have seen him play. He is no doubt a good ball player, but he has never "wowed" me and I hope the Rams keep it that way this friday. On the other hand, the QB for LCA has shown me alot, he is a playmaker and a tough match up for any D. Rams just have to show LCA right off the bat that they arent intimidated and they are in Lexington to win, not to keep it close but to win! Get ready for a battle Rams. Prediction: Raceland 20 LCA 38
RamFan09 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I just hope we can keep our offense on the field and run that clock.....move those chains and play mistake free football. Penalties really hurt us against Fairview and we'd get into 3rd and long situations, we have to play smart and play hard every play. Might need a back adjustment sidelinedoc after this one!!! GO RAMS!!! PLAY TEAM FOOTBALL!!

Ram Fan04 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 He needs only 3 for state record I believe! The Rams played a similiar game back in 97' when went to New Cath. And we walked away with a win that nobody predicted!
arrows68 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 On paper it looks like LCA should win but this game will be played on turf not paper now GO GET`EM RAMS.
Guest Bluto Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 On paper it looks like LCA should win but this game will be played on turf not paper now GO GET`EM RAMS. Truer words were never spoken, arrows. LCA better keep focused only on this Friday night. What happened last week, or before it, is now in the past and means nothing this Friday.

Well said preview. The good thing is, though, that Raceland has nothing to lose in this one. Keeping the game close would be a great accomplishment. Winning it would be worthy of breaking out the fire trucks.
