Lexington Christian Academy/Christ Presbyterian Academy, TN Predictions

Featured Replies

Thoughts on this one.

LCA plays @ CPA in Nashville, TN this Friday. ETA for LCA into TN will be 6 PM. KO will be @ 7:30.

O-line & D-line for LCA have improved from '08. I have it on the QT that the DBs are much improved.

If the Eagles win, either QB Witt or RB Hayden (D-train) or some other Sr. should be BMOC.

I feel like I just took an eye exam!

I don't know anything about LCA, but just watched CPA play Fort Campbell last Friday. Don't let the 55 points they gave up to FC fool anybody, CPA is a quality team. FC is just on a different level right now.

LCA better be ready to defend the pass because they threw 53 attempts against FC. CPA does not seem to want to run the ball or at least they didn't try much against FC. CPA is a well disciplined team that will try to dink and dunk the ball down the field with little 5yd pass plays and then run out of bounds to stop the clock. They have zero game changing performers, just a complete team of sound football players.

I would have to pick CPA in this one for no other reason then it is a home game for them. They won't be making the long bus ride from Lex to Nashville.

I agree that that is not an insignificant factor.

I do not know the first thing about the team LCA is playing. But if the above statement is true my vote is LCA. To be improved from what was already a great team last year, puts them at one of the top programs in the state. Good luck to the boys in blue and have a safe trip.

Nice response....What can I say? I was feeling kinda goofy...!

RF04, you seem a decent fellow. I almost hate to root against you Oct. 16th (but I guess I'll manage)....

Christians vs Presbyterians.................I'll take LCA.:D

I like this game for the simple fact I seen LCA play a very good game against my alumumni team last week. LCA looked great. I think they are one of the best teams in Class A this year and will definitaly get a trip to Bowling Green hands down.

Hayden is an excellent player and the WR (#1) also is too.

I would love to see LCA take this win.

Good luck Eagles.

It will be a lot of fun to play this type competition on the road. I believe good programs have to schedule this way.

Like Falconbacker said, CPA is primarily a pass oriented offense. I’m not sure how many rushing attempts they had, but they probably passed 80% of the time. Their QB is fairly accurate with a decent arm. They have a WR #7 who must have been 6-2 or 6-3 with good hands, he caused some problems for our 5-10 DBs.

One odd strategy of CPAs was they always kicked off to the corner of about the 35-40 yard line.

Of all the teams FC has played in the last 3 or 4 years I will say they were probably the most disciplined and classy group of coaches and young men I have seen.

I think it will be a good game and could go either way.

Kickoff will be at 7pm central time, 8pm eastern time.

It will be live on WJMM 99.1 FM radio in the Lexington area. WJMM doesn't have the capability to stream live, but we have a "skunk works" streaming system setup that allows us to stream about 50 audio only feeds (first come, first served) for family members and LCA alumni outside the Lexington WJMM radio reception area. This should be up and running on WED if you want to make sure you can access the stream.

The password to access the audio feed is "BLUTO Rocks!"

Here's what I think will happen.

LCA's offense is potent. We lost 1 lineman & 3 receivers. The lineman lost was very good, but his replacement saw significant action last year, & so I believe the o-line will be better than last years. As far as receivers go, LCA has always had a stable full of good receivers. So with last year's veterans, plus good replacements, I believe the offense will be even better than last year's iteration.

LCA's defense is going to a 3-5-3, which was successful 2 years ago. However, we have better (bigger, faster, stronger), more experienced personnel to plug into this proven defensive scheme.

Therefore, I think the score will be:

48 LCA

20 CPA
