  1. I don't know a thing about the Tennesee team. I'm just going to wish the boys from Knox the best of luck and hope they get out of there with the win.
  2. Thanks buddy! Whitley has some big ol' boys on the team and the Bryant kid is a load to bring down. I'm suprised that he wasn't run more in that game. He would cut through with three hanging off of him. Score was 29-0 early-mid third quarter when Parkey called off the dogs to some degree by working on the passing game. (hard to believe that Rock even has one isn't it?) Clark just ran the ball 10 times in the game with Luna packing it more at 12 attempts. The JV was mostly in with 8 minutes to go. Some stats borrowed from a buddy. Rushing Luna, 12 attempts, 98 yards, McDaniel, 4 attempts, 55 yards, 1TD Reams, 4 attempts, 49 yards, 1 TD Rowe, 10 attempts, 88 yards, 2 TD Bradley, 2 attempts, 18 Yards Jones, 1 attempt, 5 yards Passing QB McPhetridge, 9 for 16, 132 yards, 1 TD
  3. I think that the game hinges on how many times Canady from Knox touches the ball as a receiver and as a back. If they use him extensively with a sprinkle of the S. Laurel transfer to keep Perry honest, I think Knox takes it. If Canady has to come out of the game for cramps, aches, etc....or....he doesn't get many touches, then Perry will be on K.C. like a "Power bomb....compliments of Captain Insano." (quote from The Waterboy for those of you who don't understand)
  4. I've seen both play Rock. SC was out shape during the first game. If they have worked hard on conditioning during the past two weeks and on technique blocking, then they have a chance with the speed of the skilled players that presented itself during the Rock game. If Frankfort is allowed to stay close or go up a touchdown or two by halftime, then I will take Frankfort. If they score a few times early, it will be like a shark feeding frenzy and Frankfort will run off with it. The ball carriers from Frankfort are very hard to pull down.
  5. I'll take the Admirals in a tight game. I think they will do it offensively and have a tough time defensively with Boyle.
  6. Congrats to William Blair and his boys on his first win. May there be many more this season.
  7. Whew! They must of just pulled the defenses off the field and gave them the night off. 110 points....wow. Congrats to Rowan.
  8. I heard Perry County Central's Robinson played a heck of a game. Congrats to PCC.
  9. Frankfort is better than the score shows. They will be pushing some teams around in the 1A playoffs with that speed. Good luck to them on the rest of the season.
  10. I'm thinking of Rockcastle and how many kids are coming and going with changes of possesion this year. I'm just thinking off the top of my head and I can only think of two players that play both ways all of the time no matter what defensive or offensive package they play. There are some, maybe three or four that might go both ways when certain offenses or defenses are being played. That is this year only though. Even Clark Rowe is mostly playing offense and not so much defense this year. I agree with the other posters, give the coach a chance. He hasn't but just gotten his feet wet and I also heard that several players were missing tonight for one reason or another. Keep the attitude positive.....hang in there and root for your boy.
  11. Thanks to both of you. I take it by "Main Road", you are talking about the road that crosses the viaduct and river that you make the right turn off of to go into the neighborhood? I'm hoping we can get there early enough to get a tad closer. My wife has trouble with walking very far because of her back. (She won't get a disabled permit to use on bad days)
  12. Can someone tell me where the parking is for Frankfort games? I know they had that one parking lot across the field from the grandstand, but, that is not big enough to hold all of the cars. Is there another lot nearby?
  13. I understand Frankfort will be fast. We'll see....that's why they play the game. Have nothing but respect for Frankfort as they usually go deep into the playoffs. I'll be at the game Friday.
  14. Your right about the Wilson kid GCHS...he looked solid as well carrying the ball. I think that this might be a pretty good year for Garrard. I wish you all the best of luck. I usually try to make a Garrard game at least once a year. Last year was the game against West Jessamine at Lincoln. Hayes impressed me then. He was suffering cramps in the legs last night...I hope he gets over that for you all.
  15. I was at this game. I thought when Clay was driving eight minutes to go and the game tied, that they had it bagged up. I actually left the game to miss the crowd out and get something for myself and my sons to eat before going home. As we drove through Lancaster, we saw a firework go off and figured they must have scored or won. I hate it that we didn't stay to see it to the end, but, we had to get the kids home and to bed for today's game against Sheldon Clark. Congrats to Coach Mark Scenters, wish I hadn't left the game. Your boy #1 Markel Hayes(spelling?) is a player there in Lancaster.
  16. They had speed....number 7 was a player for sure. 10 also had some speed. The line was pretty big, but not in shape. I know Rockcastle had a couple of guys that cramped up in the calves, but, Sheldon Clark had boys going down several times. They weren't in the best shape and it cost them later in the game. Like I said, a ton of potential there with speed and some size on the line, just gotta get those boys in better shape.
  17. Rockcastle wore the SC Cardinals down. SC was looking for air in the second quarter and suffering from cramps. I think that if they get in a little better shape, they will be somebody to contend with late in the season. It was 14-0 at the half.
  18. Good luck to the Campers this year, hope to see you all at Jabez this weekend coming up.
  19. I had to work today and didn't get down there for the 7 on 7...sound like you did quite well sir. Best of luck to you all, hate I didn't get to see you all or Rock play. I would have liked to have seen HOP too. Good luck to you all.
  20. This is very suprising to me. I had heard of other plans for William. Great kid, good motivator and knowledgeable about the game. I think that if he gets the horses to run up there, he will make some noise in that area with support from the local community. He was the middle school coach for Trimble last year and took a not so good team and made them respectable. He coached the freshmen team and helped with the JV team at Rockcastle three years ago. That freshman team went undefeated in play against the likes of Bell County (6-0) and LCA (can't remember the score) and are seniors this year at Rock. William was a walk-on long snapper at UK when he attended school there several years back.
