From the start of the game it appeared that this may be a test. Just watching LC warm up, they looked huge! They hit hard as well. Let's get some rest and watch lots of film and be ready next week.

That's a good thing and just in time for a little healing. I completely forgot the bye was next week. :creepy:

I think that the intensity that Michael Labor and the Birds D showed tonight really shined. I like the kid that I haven't seen before and his number is 69. I think he is pretty fast for a big fella. I noticed Dempsey and Bardo limping after a few hard hits and Roller looked like his shoulder got a little banged up. Hope those guys are OK for next week. I also was happy to see Conner in there taking some hits and easing his way back into the swing of things. I saw that one little swing pass/screen that he runs so well and it just showed us a glimpse of the old Josh Conner for a second. I don't think he's lost anything. I think he'll be back as good as new soon enough. It might be right in time to get some fresh legs out there for the playoffs. I do love watching Head running the ball and all I can think of is Chris Bermann when he makes that noise when a tough running back barrels through tacklers, that's Oliver. Crawford, again showed that there are very few people that can stop him around the corner from gaining atleast 10 yards a carry. Man he's fast. Good win Birds, lets just get healthy for next week now.

From what I gather this was a very hard-fought and well played game by both teams.

I think King was Siple-Sorry for spelling, and not sure who queen was. Couldn't hear.

Final Score. I would say that the Birds have shown that they are not taking any game lightly after watching this one. Lex Cath has some really big athletic kids. This was a pretty good test. I think the most impressive stand was the Goal Line D holding Lex Cath on 4 and goal on the 1. Pretty impressive. Great win Birds and let's enjoy it tonight, but back to the grindstone tomorrow.

We need one of those automatic counters that counts down. you can download them somewhere, but I'm not savvy enough to figure it out.

I agree that the game will not be too out of hand if at all. I know we got Frank and Conner back and have a healthier Crawford and of course we have Roller and Collinsworth and Alford, and Fennel, etc. I just think that each and every team should be treated with respect from here on out. This point in the season is where so many good teams flip on the cruise control and end up hitting a bump in the road and that cruise turns into grabbing the wheel, slamming the brakes and hanging on for life! We all know that Dale and his staff have prepared these boys mentally as best as possible for this game. Let's just hope that they hold nothing back. By the way, I'm so glad it's finally football season! For those of you from LC that haven't been to HHS, it may get a little windy in the stands tonight, don't forget a wind breaker or a blanket.

All I can say from what I heard about True is-Look out next year with him in the backfield and Collinsworth and Roller being Seniors next year. That's a QB's dream and we're not even sure who that is, my guess is Bardo. Great Job Baby Birds! Now let's take this championship!

By the way, that's LN for getting my back on that other thread. I can't believe the nerve of some people. I know that I may say many things that you may disagree with and still do, but it's nice to know that when it all comes down to it, we're on the same side here. I would not at all be surprised if this team comes out and shows some impressive football for atleast the first 3 quarters. They were amazing last year. Now I know that this is not the same group of players, but neither is HHS and they are playing like they are on fire right now.:fire:

How many players did your school have in order to drive them all to school in a limo? That'd have to be some stretched limo to fit a whole football team, coaches, and don't forget the cheerleaders.

My head hurts just trying to follow all of this. It's a good thing I am not in charge of the playoff brackets.

All I need to know is what time to show up to HHS for the game. I really don't care who we are playing, however, it'd be nice to see a team that hasn't trecked to the lovely confines of David Cecil Memorial Stadium yet. Have any of the teams we may possibly play NOT been to HHS for a game. And if they have, when was their last trip and the result?

You mean there are other teams in NKY besides us Independant School Districts? I know that your program is well established, and by the way, heard that Shawn signed with Redskins, what a class act he is. I knew him in high school and he was a super nice guy.

If you get ahold of the Scott film, thatoughta do it! The kid is an absolute stud! Just think, he's a junior. Another year for HHS to have him and Roller, Holy Cow!

I just hope that our boys don't get too comfy with these large margins of victory. I have a feeling our "Louisville Central" game is coming. What I mean by that is last year, Central came out and smacked us in the mouth and it took throwing everything including the kitchen sink to pull that one out. I just worry that we haven't hit that one team to put us in our place (with the exception of Colerain).

How could you not put Collinsworth in as a Cornerback. He is the best I've seen in NKY this year.

:dancingpa I remember participating in that conversation. I was a non-believer after seeing the Ryle D tear up our line pretty good. I have eaten all my words and believe that this team has come a long way since week 1. They may have more depth in the running back position than any other year I can remember. Pretty amazing. I am so sorry that I was so quick to jump on the train to negative town. I am so glad that I have gotten off at the first stop and caught the bus to believerville.

Can a Junior win the award? If so, I vote for Austin Collinsworth.

I guess 6'2" and 240 are too big of dimensions to be in the bird suit. I thought the new one could handle that. I have volunteered numerous times to be in the Bird suit. My cousin did it and got knocked around a little but she's a little bitty thing. God love her. Does anyone know who's in charge of the suit and could we try and arrange a fitting? I was a cheerleader in college and did take a few turns in the mascot suit.

To all of those that are picking NCC by 3 TD's etc: Did you see the Conner/Ryle game on TV the other night? If you honestly think that NCC, who has struggled as of late and are not the powerhouse that we were expecting this season, is going to win by 21+ points, then I guess Conner must not have their starting QB. That kid is a stud. If you got a chance to see him play, you'd be singing a different tune. I predict that Conner will eek out a 1-3 point margin of victory in the waning seconds of the game. I know that NCC is very good, however, not enough to blow out a Conner team with all the momentum in the world behind them after last Thursday's win over Ryle.
