  1. Well, Blaine Gabbert threw for more yards than Peyton Manning this year. Who's the better QB? I just think Travis Elliott is easily one of the top 2 RB's in KY talent wise. I already prefaced that by saying I didn't know what criteria was used. Didn't mean to poke the nominators bee hive, just responding to the thread that asked for "any thoughts". My bad.
  2. Ok, IMO Travis Elliot is better than JJ Jude, if stats are included from this year Jude should be on the list.
  3. Easy there fellas, I stated I didn't know the criteria. If it's the best 2 running backs in the state he should be there IMO, but if it's TD's, rushing yards, etc he shouldn't.
  4. In all seriousness shouldn't T's whole O-line be the 5 linemen...
  5. Without knowing the criteria for making this list that may have excluded him, I have to ask why Travis Elliott isn't on this list? On a side note, there are very few years that this list wouldn't include at least 1 o-lineman from Highlands.
  6. By the sheer fact that a Campbell County offseason football thread exists shows that things are moving in the right direction. I'm very excited about the future of the Camels.
  7. Agreed, probably a poor choice of words on my part.
  8. Neither am I and we are obviously hearing the opposite versions of the same story. I guess it is up to Coach Warner, Ryle's AD and administration to see who they side with.
  9. Because a coach quit doesn't mean he is on the correct side of the issue. Coach's leave staff's all the time because of differences in philosophy, which again doesn't mean that there is any wrong doing.
  10. You are correct, my apologies to HHS fan's. It's only one.
  11. So you are suggesting that Ryle's staff is going overboard to the point of border line physical abuse and withholding water from kids? If so I don't like it and they should be fired. Are we sure this is going on, do we have examples or could it be some kids just don't like the hard work and tell their parents a distorted version of the truth?
  12. I'd agree with the 2nd point, but a quick read of the thread and you'll find that about 90% of the negative comments about Ryle's staff is coming from HHS fans. Why is that? Do you know of any incidents that parents should be concerned with? I know 2 years ago Ryle beat a very good HHS team and played an even better Trinity team closer than anyone had all year. Then this year won 7 games including a playoff game or two all while losing a ton of kids to injury including a Mr. Football candidate. I don't know what there is to be upset about, maybe there are legit concerns but from a results standpoint I don't see it and since no one is willing to address their concerns then it seems like a witch hunt to me.
  13. This is far from a "best post". If you have specific problems or incidents then point them out. Don't castigate people for defending their program and denying problems when you refuse to bring the supposed problems you know about to light. It's obvious that a couple of the HHS posters in this thread have a real axe to grind with Coach Warner. Are you really that bitter over suffering one loss? There is no question that Ryle has intensified thier program the last few years and maybe some players or parents don't like that intensity level, that doesn't mean their is a problem. It doesn't mean their isn't a problem either but unless you or others HHS posters in this thread point out what they are then your statements don't pass the transparency test.
  14. Congratulations T! A very impressive season from a very impressive football team. Is this the first team from KY to finish at #1?
  15. Ahhhh, so this is what is wrong with Highland's basketball!
  16. Finally some evidence as to why the coach's palms are so hairy and his vision is failing.
  17. I don't know how new they are but I discovered Trampled by Turtles a few months ago and I love them.
  18. Well they could quote me about the Birds are going to win by 4 TD's but who would care? I'm curious as to how or why they reached him but his commenting on an article is not unreasonable. Heck my head coach was on the broadcast team for the state finals after we were eliminated on year.
  19. I guess if we all stuck to our day jobs and never opined on a subject, the Guru's pockets would be a lot lighter and you wouldn't have much to moderate. I'd say his opinion is pretty topical since he was the last coach to beat the Birds.
  20. Sorry, deleted my post it helps if you read the thread before posting.
  21. I thought that it was that every team was a little bit faster than the one before it and that they always played mad.
  22. This is just a guess but I'd say it's to lock them in so they have the meet the "bonafide change of address exemption" if they choose to transfer.
  23. Traveling brotherhood of too tight pants.
  24. I agree, it looked to be a frozen rope about 6 inches of the turf. That would have been one of the best catches ever IMO.
