Not to get off topic but since I know this thread is a spin off of the Ryle/HHS thread it's probably worth noting that several members of the Ryle coaching staff were involved with Campbell County either playing or coaching for that 88 point game.

No idea then, maybe as UK#1Fan would say they are ducking the Breds! :lol:

I think that has much more to do with the Tom Gamble/losing a home game than it does with not wanting to play NCC. They turn down the showdown every year.

I think there are several reasons with the biggest being no one wants to schedule what in most years is a guaranteed loss. There is also the resentment, whether or not you feel it is perceived or real about transfers (Mitchell case) and kids that play their youth football at one place and end up at Highlands. Coaches feel that Highlands is taking from their talent pool and then beating them with said talent pool. Dale Mueller did have a pretty well deserved run it up reputation in the late 90's and maybe even a few years beyond but has backed off that stuff in a big way but the resentment still remains and the reputation is still out there. I think there is also an idea out there that Dale Mueller isn't as good a coach as people say he is because of the attitude out there that anyone can win at Highlands they just have to roll the balls out so to speak. I disagree with that because what he's done has taken Highlands to new levels but the idea is out there. Just my thoughts

Your guy lied my guy changed his mind. It sounds like this is a P&R thread. :lol: I'm just curious as to why Coach Warner had the sudden change of heart, he was pretty infatic the last few years that to be one of the best programs you have to play the best programs. I happen to agree with his previous view by the way which is why I am disappointed to see this series end but excited to see the Campbell County series renewed.

I wasn't sure but thought I'd heard that.

I don't think they can, week 11 in KY is the 1st round of the playoffs in OH if I'm not mistaken.

Coach Warner spent a couple years telling everyone that would listen that to get better you had to play the best teams. I wonder if he has he had a change in Philosophy or lost confidence in his program?

You won't find a better show for under $20 bucks, the Taft has some great shows for cheap. I saw Trampled by Turtles there earlier this year for $16.

Without a doubt! Now I'm thinking the poor practice field conditions were the reason we only won 2 games my junior and senior years. Glad to see CCHS making these improvements.:thumb:

I was a jr the first year the new school opened and they just scraped off the hill and threw out grass seed. Before doubles even started the practice field was like concrete from the packed down and dried out clay. Plus we got the bonus of these big rocks working their way up through the field. We should have gotten hazard pay.:lol:

It hasn't always, my older brother played on some pretty good teams in the 80's and the stands were always full then.

Didn't expect that kind of score out of the Camels but Coach Lickert has them rolling. Congratulations on another district championship, I have a feeling there are many more coming to Alexandria.

You keep insisting that the Lexington district is way better than the NKY district. That has been the case maybe twice that I can remember. Scott County is clearly the best team in either district but no one else in Lexington 6A is anything special. I guess we'll see.
