  1. The Bobcats didn't need much last week to get going on McCreary Central. Bell County got on the Board first and never looked back. The Bobcats started subbing early in the 2nd qtr and took the halftime lead at 53-0. The final score being 59-6 with the JV and freshmen finishing up the game the entire second half. the Bobcats finished Runner's up in district play and will host Henry County in the first round on November the 7th. Bell will travel to Harlan County this week on Thursday to take on the Black Bears to finish up the Regular Season schedule with a cross county rival. This is the 6th game in the series with the Bobcats leading 3-2. Harlan County has played a brutal schedule this season with teams such as Bryan Station, Belfry, Johnson Central, and Greenville, TN. Harlan Co has a record of 2-7 and the Bobcats come into this game with a 7-2 record with both of those losses are to Middlesboro by 3 at the end of regulation and Corbin by 1 in OT. Throw the records out the window with a smash mouth football game to be played. I look for great game to be played by both teams. I hope both teams come out injury free before the playoffs. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
  2. Bell County (7-2) travels to Harlan County (2-7) to take on the Black Bears in a cross county rival that has been named by the fans as the Coal Bowl. This a game were the records can be thrown out the window. This game will be smash mouth football at its best. This is the 6th game of the series Bell had the lead 3-2. Can Harlan County tie the series up? Or will Bell County take a 4-2 lead?
  3. Bell subs in the second qtr to pick up the district win.
  4. That is not what he was crying about ask him. If you knew the rules of the game that is not what he was crying about it was an illegal formation not a pick play watching to much college football. That is what he was crying about. He is good at it. Great game just hope the Bobcats make it back. If Gilbert comes back it will be different look for Corbin and Hopper. I think that Bell knew he was that fast.

  6. He wasn't exploding over a pick play ask him what he was exploding about. It wasn't that at all. They weren't in the red zone in the first half maybe the 25 yard line I don't consider that the red zone.
  7. Both Corbin blitzed and the Receiver ran the wrong play is what Coach Mills told me the other day.
  8. Corbin never really moved the ball on Bell at any time during the game. All of their points in regulation came off really one big play on offense the other was setup by an interception. The score should have been 21-0 at one point in the game. But we all know the saying if's and but's. I hope Bell gets the chance to play Corbin again.
  9. Great Job ATLCat.. I think you have done a great job with this. I think that 3A is wide open this season.
  10. Me too. If Gilbert can get back he has the speed to run with Central to give them a weapon. Their defense is really good. I hope that they can play Corbin again.
  11. Thanks ATLCat. I feel like I put this together for nothing sometimes. There overall health if good Hayden Gilbert was injured during the Whitley Co game and could possibly return in the playoffs. I think that Bell's biggest hurdle could be if they get to the second round going to Louisville Central to face the Yellow Jackets. Then would face Corbin again for a rematch if they make it to the 3rd round. Anything can happen in the playoffs.
  12. When people read these reviews would love to have some feedback. 51 people have read it but no comments.
  13. I think that this will be a great matchup. I will take Danville 28-21.
  14. I really don't think that there is a clear cut favorite. I look for some teams to come out who people aren't taling about. I think that if there is some rematches in the playoffs I look for the teams that got beat earlier to win this time around.
  15. It took overtime for Corbin edged Bell County 21-20. Both teams were held scoreless in the first qtr.Bell County led Corbin 7-0 at the half with a 3 yard touchdown run by Treyton Humfleet with 2:49 to play in the second qtr.. In the second half Corbin got on the board with a 68 yard TD pass to Kenny Hopper from Corey Taylor to tie the game at 7 all with 7:18 left in the 3rd qtr. Corbin's next score came with 5:23 left in the 4th qtr from a 1 yard run by Jake Coppock to make the score 14-7. The Bobcats then marched down the field and scored on a 3 yard pass to Cole Frazier from Peyton Collett with 1:23 left to play to tie the score at 14 all. Going into overtime Corbin receives the ball first only needing to plays to score. Taylor connects with Hopper once again on a 7 yard pass to take the lead at 21-14. On Bell's possession in OT the Bobcats scored on a 5 yard pass on third down to Chase Woolum from Collett. Bell elected to go for the win and came up short on the failed pass attempt. With Corbins win it gives the Redhounds their first district title since 2008. It was another great matchup between these 2 programs. Both of these teams could meet again in the playoffs for the regional title. Corbin improves to 7-1 and Bell drops to 6-2 on the season. Bell host Mcreary Central this week and Corbin travels to Casey Co.
  16. Big win for Whitley they battle Letcher this week for the district title.
  17. Great game Bell should have scored twin more times in the first half. Congrats Corbin on the win.
