I couldn't agree with you more. It seems like some guys have hit the ball solidly for the Tigers to start off the season, but some guys who are more than capable of hitting the ball have started off slow. Once the team hits as a team, and finds their groove, they will be tough.

Nice game by the Tigers. Senior Jimmy Scott pitched 6 innings, and Junior Mikey Young came in for the 7th. Hunter Jones hit for the cycle, and David Combs led the team with 3 RBI.

I like the Tigers in this one, but not in 5 like stated before by another member. I see it going 7 in a close game

Jones went 3-3 against him, however, I don't remember anyone being on base when Jones was at-bat.

Connor pitched 6 innings. Then TJ Showalter came in the 7th. NCC looked very sharp in their first game of the season, and Connor (although he says he didn't locate pitches where he wanted) looked very good coming out of the basketball season.

It's @ Bellevue. Should be a very exciting game. Last season, the Breds pulled out the victory in a thriller, I expect the same type of game this time around.

Was in attendance for this one. Bellevue batted through the lineup in the first inning, scoring 7 runs I think. Looked very sharp swinging the bat. I was also impressed with the defense by the Tigers, takes a lot of pressure off the pitchers when they know a defense is behind them to take care of the outs. Jones hit 2 HR, including one deep over the big fence in left. One player who really surprised me swinging the bat (and in the field as well) was Junior Travis Lyvers. Scott looked like they have some great potential, and I expect some good things out of them as the season progresses.

Well, if I can recall correctly (Which I could be wrong), Darius Miller was the first Mr. Basketball that went to UK since 2002 (Brandon Stockton). Since then, Ross Neltner (LSU/Vandy), Chris Lofton (Tenn), Dominic Tilford (UC/South Alabama), Walt Allen (Presbyterian), and Steffphon Pettigrew (WKU) have won the prestigious award. Hood wins hands down

The 35th is the toughest, but I think the 36th will be the most competitive. JMO

Well I see Piper and Scott as 1, 2. Young could be the 3 guy, with either Thompson or Mayes as the 4. Then, either Thompson or Mayes, along with Snider, Barrett, and whoever else Sanders has up his sleeve in the bullpen

If NCC shoots like they did against Highlands, they will win by 20. I dont see them shooting THAT well, but still good enough to get the win. NCC 61 Dixie 53

Agreed. A top of the lineup with Barrett, Buckler/Combs, Hunter, Hegge, then maybe Piper or Scott could be quite fun to watch

I'm not sure who the #2 guy will be, maybe Buckler or Combs. I could see Hegge hitting in the #4 slot, as his hitting as dramatically increased over the past two seasons.
