Nice game by the Tigers.

 

Senior Jimmy Scott pitched 6 innings, and Junior Mikey Young came in for the 7th. Hunter Jones hit for the cycle, and David Combs led the team with 3 RBI.

Wow... the cycle is tough even in High School! How is Hunter doing this year besides this game? I really need to get out and see the upgrades to Bellevue's facility it sounds nice!

Newport has some nice athletes and a good coach. Given time they will pull together and end up a good team. The fans need to be supportive and keep comments to them selfs. A kid just puts more pressure on them selfs when they hear all the negative comments coming out of the fans. Win or loose these are kids playing a game. :sssh:

There were a few fans making comments and not being supportive but let's not make it seem as though all the fans were not being supportive. There were a lot of fans trying to support the Cats. Newport has a talented group and did not play to their potential. Bellevue has a good team this season and should have a good year.
