I heard the Birds really struggled from the Free Throw line tonight. They should have put the CATS away early and let them hang around.

Other than Lother they have struggled at the line most of the games I have been to.

The Wildcats made it interesting after being down by 15 at halftime. Darnell had a magnificant career at Newport and hopefully he decides to take his game to the next level. He was like the Wildcat's glue and you could tell there was a completely different team out there when he was in foul trouble. Keep your head up Dave you played great and it has been a joy watching you play since your early days at Mildred Dean. As for Highlands I will be pulling for you Saturday against the Breds. Lother really does a great job at keeping the Birds in control.

Darnell had a great game but his teammates picked him up as well. They cut a 16-point deficit down to 3. The run started with Darnell on the floor but it continued while he was on the bench--which enabled Coach Russell to keep him on the bench for the first couple of minutes in the 4th. I'm sure the Wildcats would rather have Darnell on the floor but the whole team deserves credit for their comeback.
