  1. I am just wondering why the posters that say nothing is wrong with throwing the ball with a large lead, happen to be from H and T. Just curious, why?? Funny huh. But I believe you can throw the ball with your two's, you obviously have to work on it. Up 5 or 6 scores (or more), no way. That shows lack of class. Remember, your kids are playing against someone elses kids. If you have the philosophy, "well my kids aren't the ones losing", then why even make a comment on this. Plus what goes around comes around. I remember a team from Boyle Co. who ran a fake punt in the State Championship, when they were winning really big. But that was kinda funny...
  2. Screen or not...Pass thrown up 42-6 by Guidugli, that is what i am talking about. For your sake, this happened so your son could get an opportunity to play, with a running clock. I am not badmouthing the tactics of the Coach but simply stating that it was not needed. I believe the game was in hand at this point. I would not be happy if I was Coach Lickert nor would I be surprised. At the same token, I would not be happy with the play of my team either...
  3. There is nothling like a 60+ point win vs. a Kentucky opponent after losing to Colerain. That really boosts the confidence. I am sure Coach Lickert, as a former Highlands grad, expected no less. BTW stickymitts, the Birds may be 64 points better than a lot of teams this year. But sometimes you just call off the dogs, on the dogs...
  4. Hey Oldguy, don't ever expect any of the Bluebird faithful to defend Dale...lol
  5. Mexitucky, I have confidence in history and that it tends to repeat itself. Ryle has never given up 28 points to NCC. I don't think that it is going to happen this year either. If NCC is able to win, and it sounds like they are expected by most, it will be the result of a defensive effort.
  6. [quote=NCC06 NCC 35 Ryle 28 "NCC offense is really good and yes the pass defense is not very good right now. But they should outscore Ryle in this one." Is New Cath's offense as potent or dare I say, fast as Highlands. New Cath hasn't scored more than 30 points a game in their three years vs. the Raiders. I don't think Kues and company is as good as Diehl and company.
  7. Cooper has some good size and young talent. They also have good numbers for a NKY school. They simply lack experience. As long as Coach Borchers keeps them focused and keeps the kids coming out, it shouldnt take more than a couple of years to win some football games. Good luck Cooper.
  8. Ryle's achilles heel, in big games, has notoriously been turning the ball over and giving up long tds. If they can protect the ball and tackle well, anything is possible. And I think their offense has opened up enough to score 24 points...even against the Birds. I will not make a prediction however, we shall see Friday night.:sssh:
  9. Yeah...I believe the Birds play a team from Union first. Might not want to look past them. Play the Raiders, then you can worry about Colerain...
  10. What did Holmes like to run offensively? Did their speed get outmatched by NCC's technique?
  11. I am not exactly sure anyone will get smoked here...I think that this game will be closer than you think neerfan.
  12. Glad to see your Football mind can expand outside of the Ville and Lexington.
  13. Good Luck Cooper. You will need it
  14. FC's wheels fell off after the disasterous loss to Ryle towards the end of the season
  15. Nortern Kentucky will have to defend a very talented Josh Freidel for the next three years. Should be an impact player for Ryle in 08'.
