I attended game and came away impressed with both Brossart and Pendleton. Brossarts defensive intensity and getting the 50/50 balls is amazing. They have a nose for the ball, but i do agree somewhat with the refereeing part, Defensively they're masters at getting away with hand-checking and have been for years. Pendleton was in the game up until the 3rd quarter. Pendleton played very tough in the first half and didn't really get much from Monroe. That will make Pendleton scary if they can compete without Monroe in lineup.

Are rumors true that a player from Owensboro Catholic is awaiting KHSAA ruling on eligibility ? Played football for Catholic and now is at MCHS. Has he practiced with the team??

I don't consider it MONTGOMERY Co. The Happy All-Stars

50+ point leads in 2 consecutive games with a running clock after 35 point lead? Did they press the entire game??

Nobody in the 10th can compete against the Indians. Not this year or in the future as long as Happy is there! To many connections.

Happy is continuing to make friends in the 10th Region! A 50 pt victory and a 58 pt victory the last 2 games!! Go Happy! Go Happy!!! I'm sure Mt.Sterling is buzzing!!

Thought Grant Co. played exceptionally hard. They don't have much size,but shoot it well.

Indians have overflowing talent from Mt Sterling?? Montgomery lost several players from last years team.

Kudos to the line judge for making the call. I saw the goalie stomp Ben Annis and it was definately the right call. Just another act of poor sportsmanship and KHSAA officials need to put an end to this type of behavior. Brossart has a reputation for that type of behavior and it's a shame because I know that's not representation of the entire student body. Not sure if Annis is going to be able to play in the championship due to a rib problem.

Happy won't find many friends in the 10th. Hearing the Prewitts are working behind the scenes getting rid of Wise and filing out the roster. October 15th is around the corner!!

Montgomery Co. is getting players from outside Mt. Sterling?? Fan support was poor last year at the regional tourney. I guess now it'll get better for the Indians... Similar to Scott Counties following at the state tourney??

Teams in the 10th should be concerned about what is going on in Mt. Sterling. Not much information being released. I have heard of a player from Nevada that has transferred into Montgomery. WONDER if the KHSAA enforcement officers even exist!!

Montgomery sounds like they'll be loaded. Happy will also add some other players before the season begins .

Harrison went 4-0. Wins over Lewis, Bracken, Augusta, and Mason. Nice experience for the Breds.

Here's a little history for Coach Mike Reitz: In 33 seasons of coaching at Deming, MMI, Pikeville, Maysville, Harrison Co., Clark Co. and Campbell Co., Coach Reitz accumulated a record of 556-424 for a winning percentage of .567. In his 18 seasons at Harrison Co. he had a record of 325-217 for a winning percentage of .600. His 556 wins puts him at 27th on the all-time wins list in Kentucky. The 980 games he coached were the 7th most in KHSAA history. Mike won 10th Region championships at Maysville (1988) and Harrison Co. (1991, 1996 and 1997). He led the Breds to a 10th Region runner-up spot in 1999. When Mike was at Clark Co., the Cardinals were 10th Region runners-up in 2003. Mike was also an assistant coach on the 1984 Bourbon Co. 10th Region champs that lost in the state tournament finals to Logan Co. Although, I don't have information prior to 1988, I know that Mike won district titles at Harrison Co. in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2009. He was runner-up in 2000, 2001, 2010 and 2011. He won a district championship at Maysville in 1988. At Clark Co., he won a district title in 2003. At Campbell Co., Mike was a district runner-up in 2005. Mike won Coach of the Year honors in 1997 at Harrison Co., and in 2002 at Clark Co. He was elected a member of the KABC Court of Honor in 2011.

Position filled just hours after being posted. Larry Kendall takes the helm after being an assistant for 17 years. He worked as an assistant under Coach Reitz and his older brother Lee Kendall. Harrison Co graduates 3 seniors and has a host of experienced players returning. Harrison has 3-4 good players in each class and a freshman class that won their middle school conference.

Congratulations to Coach Carr. Wish him nothing but the best! Great guy! Will give the program much needed stability as the Thorobreds move on in a very difficult District.

Anybody that has followed HC will tell you that the Breds have loved shooting at Nicholas Co. the past two years. Have played four games in Carlisle the last two years. Good luck to both teams.

Will be an exciting night in Carlisle! Pendleton has one last 5 of 7 district tournaments. They owned the hilltop. Now the district goes to Nicholas, Wildcats have to be the favorites. Season over for The loser!

Harrison Co grinds out a victory over Dunbar with selective shot selection and solid defense. Breds led in scoring by Caleb Ford and Dillon Pulliam. Breds are playing good ball right now!!

10th is wide open. Will be exciting seeing who steps up at tourney time. My top teams right now are: Clark, brossart, Pendleton, Montgomery, Scott, Harrison, Mason.
