Listened to the post game, and sounds like a good win for BB under the circumstances. Coach Code misses his first ever game as Head Coach with the flu, Trentman absent (ill), Saunders sat out a bunch with some injuries, Burns, Jennings & Uebel in foul trouble; and the JV's came up big. Good win for the Mustangs headed into the All "A".

ugly game on both ends. Can't believe BB is 2nd in the region. Worst officiated game i ever watched,definitely took PC out of the game.

Pendleton has a nice team. They play really hard. Wouldn't want to see them on my side of the bracket come region time.

 

Monroe struggled a bit tonight against the pressure/physical play of Brossart's guards. Jake Jennings matched up with him for the most part all night until about 4 minutes left in the game. At that point he probably had only 9 or 10 points. I think he finished with 17 or 19. Still pretty good for an off night. He has a really good "feel" for the game.

 

This was a really good game for Brossart. It forced a couple of others to have to step up and they did.

I attended game and came away impressed with both Brossart and Pendleton. Brossarts defensive intensity and getting the 50/50 balls is amazing. They have a nose for the ball, but i do agree somewhat with the refereeing part, Defensively they're masters at getting away with hand-checking and have been for years. Pendleton was in the game up until the 3rd quarter. Pendleton played very tough in the first half and didn't really get much from Monroe. That will make Pendleton scary if they can compete without Monroe in lineup.

We are happy to win and move on in this one. Happy for our guys who came from off the bench and stepped up last night. You have to appreciate Jennings defensive work on Monroe, and our overall team defense.

 

Best thing that happens now to our Mustangs is that we get a few days off to rest up, recover, and rejuvenate. Will be ready to go next week in the "A".

Sounds like you weren't seeing Brossart at their best last night. Although I will admit that the 10th is down this year. Clark County isn't your older brother's Clark County team and neither is Mason County. After Montgomery and Brossart, there are about 6 or 7 teams that you can throw in a hat and not be surprised when one defeats the other.

And he still had 20. I know he scored most of them late. I believe he only had 4 in the first half.

 

He probably scored 8 of those 17 when the game was well in hand and after Jennings had fouled out. I don't think he hit an outside shot until 3 minutes to go in the game.
