  1. Isn't it time for the Boyle administration to get a real baseball coach in there? I don't care if he has 500 wins. If he knew how to treat kids he could have a real program like the one that's across town.
  2. Lee's College sounds familiar, I will check with my friend, his son was invited.
  3. Anybody know anything about game? Supposed to be in Hazard on April 10th. Thanks.
  4. Who made the team and does the 12th name an All Region team with POY?
  5. Boyle had an early season loss by 5 to WJ at West's gym, a early season win over Pulaski at home and a Feb win over Mercer at Mercer. We will find out Tuesday, should be some exciting games!
  6. I saw the game and I would disagree with your thoughts on the fouls, In fact he should have had his 5th foul at the end of the game when he went over the back of a Danville player and took him to the ground. Hill is a very nice player and seems to be a great kid. Unfortunately for Lincoln they seemed to fall apart when Hill was on the bench. A very differant game then the last Danville-Lincoln game.
  7. Good sloppy win for the Rebels. Officiating was poor at best. Good luck in the tournament.
  8. I saw this game and yes Boyle could not buy a basket in the 1st quarter but they did a good job battling back. When you look up and see that midway through the 4th qtr. the team fouls are 10-1 it's hard to beat a good team when you can't get a call. I saw several plays where Boyle's gaurd went to the rim only to have someone move into his way with contact. Either its a charge or a block, you can't take a guy down like that. With the way Boyle's guards shoot free throws there's 8 or 10 free throws they don't get. Probably 8 or 9 points. I knew when I saw the officials for the game that Boyle was in trouble, the tall skinny guy has to be one of the worst officials around plus it appears he doesn't care for Boyle's coach. Wayne is a very good team and could be a contender in the Region.
  9. Dude, Wearing a Duke t-shirt holding a ball signed by the Unforgetables? You need a vacation!
  10. PP, Sounds like things should be good for the Rebels. Can anyone watch games at Centre's camp? Thanks for your info.
  11. The Rebels need to take advantage of the summer months and spend as much time on the court as other teams. I don't think that the new coach worked as hard as needed to bring a competitive team to the floor. Maybe put a hex on the football team so the fb players can get in the gym before mid December. Good luck.
  12. I heard that Lex Cath May end up in the 12th, anybody heard this?
  13. We as adults, who sit at out desks and post all this junk are all probably old, frustrated athletes from long ago and take all this too seriously. This are kids, soon to be young men, that are playing a game. Yes, they are very dedicated to the game and we all love to discuss, argue and watch them play. They are heated rivals now and one day may be best of friends. In the end I hope they all have great memories and stories to tell when they are in our shoes. Good luck to both teams in the district finals and I hope that it's Lincoln and Danville in the Regional Finals. Hope to argue with you all next season!
  14. I don't think that saying LC didn't show up tonight is accurate, the Boyle Co. team had finally started to play well together the past 3-4 games. When you play a close game or lose a game your opponent usually has played a major reason in why that has happened. Give Boyle a little credit. Unfortunatley if they don't go 9 for 20 from the free throw line they win the game. Good luck to Lincoln and congratulations on the win.
  15. I talked to his dad and he told me that Cory had only clapped his hands at himself and did not say anything to the ref. He felt that they were still uptight about the T on the coach. He also said that there were several instances later where kids were whistled for turnovers or fouls that clapped their hands together or slapped the floor that were ignored. High school refs as a whole are not very good, some are very good but most are not.
  16. Rebel Man I appreciate your love of Boyle Co. sports, but I'm not sure it is appropriate to call out a kid by name and express your opinion. Talk about the coach all you want but stay off a kid by name. I assume your are an adult, please conduct yourself accordingly.
  17. Cory Jones had 5, Connor givhan had 3. The starting guards did nothing, when the above two and Blake Perry came in there was a big uplift.
  18. I agree with your assessment, Central can't guard St. John and South Laurel can't guard Miller. If St. John has his game they win.
  19. As told to me Mr. Austin is a good shooter but may be only the third best shooter behind a couple of juniors. Could be lots of threes over there at Boyle this year.
  20. rebel man, I don't think you know what was going on behind the scene at BCHS basketball. I think that the kids will play just as hard and with less looking over their shoulder. The unanswered question is the quality of the coaching, but his record in the college ranks would point to him be qualified to get results. I have already seen that he will run the system that will fit his players the best which at times in the last couple of years it was win with man to man defense or nothing. Lets hope for this years team they can come together, learn the system and be a force at tournament time.
  21. I heard that West Jessamine beat Boyle in the finals of the Centre camp. It was told to me that Boyle had one offensive play and played straight man to man and that West pulled out all the stops to win in sudden death. Any truth to this?
  22. Who are the top 5 teams in the region for next year? Also, who are the next stars of the region?
  23. What actually causes the "problem parent" label? You sound like you know what goes on in the locker room and at practice too, are these parents making things up to get the coach out of there?
