Final Boyle and Danville this Friday Night for the 45th. Title!

Wow. Great showing by Danville on their home court.

 

This is unknown territory for the Patriots and their fans.

Hard to beat a team three times...

 

Danville had a great gameplan, slow the tempo down and sit back in the 2/3 zone. LC couldn't make shots. Wide open miss after miss. LC shot 25% from the floor, and it had little to do with defense. Smart strategy by Danville. LC fell in love with the trey, and it killed them.

 

The refs didn't help matters. LC's best player, Zack Hill, was whistled for two fouls in the first minute and a half of the game. Jackson tried to bring him back in the 2nd quarter, he got a moving screen called on him within 30 seconds. 3 fouls in less than 2 minutes. Totally took LC out of the game. Hill didn't start the second half, and quickly received his 4th foul when he came in half way through the 3rd. The best part, the same ref called on four fouls on him. The best part, only one of the calls was correct. He should of had one foul.

 

I'm not one to blame the refs, but this kid who called all four obviously had something against Hill and it totally changed the game. Not saying Danville won because of it, but it sure didn't hurt.

 

Still proud of the Pats, 16-10 on a "down year" ain't bad. They have a lot of young talent, and Hill returning next year. The future is bright.

Tough loss of the coin flip. Boyle wins it, and gets a really down Garrard team and wins by 36. Lincoln loses it, and gets a good Danville team on their home floor.

 

But in all seriousness not a bad rebuilding year for Lincoln. They could make some noise next year, although they're best team might be in 2011-12. Is that correct, LCPats?

You're exactly right, that coin flip was huge. Of course, we've said that all season.

 

LC's got a lot of young talent. Next year will be ok, Hill should have a huge year. The younger Hill will be a player too. The next three seasons they should be a contender.

Good win for Danville, I was expecting Lincoln to come out on top this game, but like mentioned, beating a team 3 times is hard to do.

The foul on the fastbreak was a foul, but on another player. Hill wasn't within 4 ft of the kid that got fouled. The moving screen was a horrible call. He didn't even clip the Danville player, much less move. The 4th foul was a clean block. He blocked it off the backboard, he was straight up in he air. The first foul was legit, and the one they missed (#5 you called it) was a foul IMO.

 

Of course LC is different with a kid averaging 19pts and 10 boards on the bench.:idunno:

 

Nevertheless, Danville was the better team last night.
