Lets hear your thoughts as to why. Size, Speed, Coaching, what makes Holmes that much better than Bellevue. I'm interested in your thought process.

My hope is that Holmes doesn't win this one. I do agree that Coach Lickert seems to have his program going in the right direction. Best of luck to the Bulldogs the rest of the season (starting next week).

Holmes overall does have more athletes than the Tigers I will give you that. If Bellevue can keep contain then they will have a chance. The defense will have to come up big for Bellevue to stay in this game. They showed improvement last week against Newport compared to the Holy Cross game. They should be ready for the speed of Holmes because they have seen that the first two week and In my opinion I think they did much better against Newport who has two very quick backs. The offense showed a great deal of improvement this week. They got after the D line this week the whole game instead of just showing flashes of being able to control the line in the Holy Cross game. Continued improvement and the Tigers will have a chance against the Bulldogs. Gotta believe they can do it. Bellevue 20 Holmes 14

Highlands 28 Ryle 14 Ryle is a very good program but Highlands is still the best in NKY if not in the whole state.

It seems as though the new coaching staff has gotten off on the right foot with the Newport faithful. Just remember it's hard to make change overnight. Give them time to let some of the changes they have made take full affect. Win or loose Saturday Night these guys have infused the Newport program with an excitement they have been lacking in the last couple of years. Gotta say I hope the Tigers win this week but may the Wildcats have success the remainder of the year.

The support from all over NKY was just great. Had people from many different schools calling wishing us good luck and saying they were voting for us.

Quan is the real deal and hasn't needed to impress anyone in preseason. My prediction from NKY is Weaver goes over 200 yards and Frankfort easily wins this game by as many as they want.

I keep hearing Beechwood is down this year. Keep in mind a down year at Beechwood is still a good year in most programs. This game will tell a lot about where both teams are. I look for a close game with Dixie coming out on top.

Kudos to HC line both O and D they dominated.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But wouldn't it be interesting to see what Buckler would do behind a line with the size and athletic ability of HC's line? I think Bellevue's line does a fine job for a class A line and that is what they are a class A football team that gets their football players from a one square mile city. HC is a class AA football team. In the words of a famous Bellevue radio personality IT IS WHAT IT IS. On a more positive note I thought HC had a real good football team. Roenker is a very good back but the QB Walker (?) is the real deal. I thought Roenker played very well on the D side of the ball as well. Best of luck to HC this year I think they will go far in Class AA this year. I think the scheduling of HC will only make Bellevue a better team come playoff time. The Bellevue kids didn't quit they were just over matched in the end. I am looking forward to a good year for the tigers.

Bellevue did get new lights. They weren't apart of the Kellogg's grant money they were already in the plans. My understanding is that a committee is being formed to decide what the money is going to be used for. Keep in mind 15 k doesn't go that far.

3 TD's is a lot for a team to beat a team by that they lost to last year. I think Bellevue has a better team this year than they did last. They are bigger stronger and faster. Who are the players that Newport picked up that will make that big of a difference? Or do you think a new coaching staff will be that big of a difference?

Just have to know. What is your reasoning? Lead me through your thought process where Newport should beat Bellevue by 3 TD's this year.

Richard looks good this year. I've been to a couple of practices and he appears to be more relaxed and letting the game come to him instead of panicking and putting pressure on himself. Don't know actual numbers but would say 7 of 10 in the game last Friday. If he does that it will open up Bellevues offense this year.

I'm not getting carried away. Didn't say huge upgrade. But I think it is somewhat of an upgrade and a better fit for Bellevue. Also if you rank the teams you picked up and the team you drooped 1 - 4 and compared 1 to 1, 2 to 2, ect. I think you have to say upgrade in 3 out of 4 with HC bing a very good opponent for Bellevue while getting out of a game without a lot of upside. When you say NCC makes more sense than playing HC I respectfully disagree. I'm all for playing better competition with in reason but when some of the better athletes that live in your city continually go to the other school and your limited to one square mile to get your players from its not realistic to think your going to be competitive on a regular basis. That tends to bring the kids down. Losing to a bigger school with no emotional ties on the other hand can still be a positive learning experience for the kids.
