Fishhead I hope you are young because your way too naive to be of any age over say 15 or 16. To think your going to challenge a program like Beechwood or for that matter Bellevue on a regular basis any time in the near future is just ridiculous. Tradition and hard work is not something you buy it has to be earned and not over night it takes a long time. I was going to be nice and not predict a score but just to bring you down to earth a little: Bellevue 56 BB 0 only because Bellevue decides to put in the freshman BB has a chance to build a good program, but you don't build a program over night. It doesn't help the program when you have people spouting their mouth off before the team has earned it. I like the schedule BB has played so far, it was exactly what they needed a cupcake schedule. Get a little confidence and you never know what can happen, but it wont be this year and probably not next either.

I don't think it should be the small school that struggle with senior feeder programs because they don't have Jr high teams that are taking away the seventh and eighth graders. Does Ludlow have a Jr. High team?

At one time I would have agreed with you, however with the addition of WV and BB and Dayton being as down as they are I'm afraid the district is weak this year. I do think in a couple of years the new teams will be up to the challenge and once again we will be the toughest district in the state. I don't see Dayton's program getting any better for quite some time. The feeder program up there hasn't had a competitive team for some time now. Beechwood is always going to be Beechwood, they work very hard and have great tradition they will always be one of the top teams in class A. Bellevue is a land locked community of one square mile, it is what it is every couple of years they will give Beechwood a run for their money. WV has the potential to grow and as they improve and their enrollment climes they will have to move up in class. BB being a catholic school in a good football environment has all the potential in the world to become a very good football team year in and year out. Ludlow is also struggling keep their feeder program alive the future isn't looking good for them either if it doesn't get straightened out soon.

Wont be much of a game. The weak class A district may hurt Bellevue and Beeechwood come playoff time. Both have had tough games up to this point but now must play district games against opponents that wont make them any better. And when they still have their first team in in the second half I don't want to hear they are running the score up. You have to play the guys that are going to win for you in the playoffs. Your first team needs to play into the Fourth quarter to get into game shape. Just because the score is lopsided it doesn't mean you are running the score up.

Clyde you are way off base on this one. Quite frankly you have taken a great Highlands victory and reduced it to "I sure wish it wasn't Highlands". I am another that has to cross the river every day and listen to "NKY football isn't as good as Cincinnati Football". Well this week thanks to Highlands I got to go and spout off a little about how good NKY football really is. Now mind you I told them that Highlands wasn't even the best football program in NKY. I said if you can't beat Highlands then you don't want any part of class A Bellevue (LOL). Don't be so paranoid and realize that even though they may not be Highland fans NKY takes great pride in Highlands Football. Great program, great people, great win. In addition to having the best facilities in NKY the football playing surface is the best in NKY IMO also.

Dixie's whole campus is just outstanding not only the track and Football field. The new baseball, softball and practice fields are top notch all the way. I like the way the entire campus is laid out as far as :thumb:fan friendly and easy to get in and out of. :thumb:

I made my statement tongue in cheek making fun of the AP. Although BB is much improved there not close to a top ten team.

He will only be close to 300 yds if Walton makes a game out of it. If it is a blow out Eckstein will spread the wealth and let all the backs get their carries. The Sullivan kid has been a nice addition to the backfield and will warrant some additional carries as the season progresses. Slatter and Hegge have also done a nice job this year and I can see them getting more carries as the District games begin.

I hope the tigers don't over look Walton. They are a hungry program looking for that signature win, and IMO will be very good in the near future.

Just looked at the Scoreboard and saw BB was given a loss for the E-Town game is that right? A forfeit for a flu cancellation seems harsh if it is legitimate.

At this rate Brossart could go undefeated! Just kidding hopefully this let everyone get better and they can get back to school and back to playing football. They are having a good year(for them) and missed a chance for another good game.

You can't coach talent that isn't there. I don't think they would have a lot of coaches beating down the door to take his place.

Coming from a small school prospective because that is the majority of games that I see. I have seen Higlands, Dixie, Ryle, ect. play but not on a weekly basis. 1.Biggest Pleasant Surprise: For me has to be Holmes. Everyone knew they were improving, but by moving down in class they will have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. Good team good coaching. 2.Biggest Disappointment: Dayton. These kids that are Seniors were always very competitive when they played in the youth leagues. Not so sure they are living up to their potential. 3.Best coaching job: I'm going to say Newport. They really turned around the attitude of the team and have instilled pride in being a Newport football player. I'm not so sure this has been the case the last couple of years. It's my belief that before you can rebuild a program you have to get all parties to believe it can be rebuilt. Good job by these young coaches in getting a good attitude built on this team. Keep up the good work. It will pay off in the long run in the win loss column. 4.Best NKY game (That I have seen): If your an offense guy it would have to be Bellevue (48) Scott (41). Defensively it wasn't pretty on either side but offensively watching Buckler (285 Yards) and Sowder (214 yards ?) put on their show and then watching Bellevue's Quarterback Richard Wills direct a 2 min drill to lead Bellevue to the winning touchdown with 15 seconds or so left was a thrilling game. 5.It's hard to compare big school players with small school players because of the talent level around them. When on a big team you are generally playing teams with a lot more talent. When on a small team the teams you are playing can afford to have two or three guys monster you. So IMO it's hard to filter it all out. Big school more opportunity small school you have to be the man every play. 5a.Big school It is Collinsworth this year because he makes cuts with so little effort and doesn't lose any speed when he does so. Just for clarification haven't seen Simpson play this year yet. 5b.Small school I'm going with Ricky Buckler of Bellevue he carries the ball most of the time for his team and everyone knows it yet he is still racking up the yards. 6.Highlands by far.

Bellevue Tigers battle cry. Goes at least back to late 70's. Someone yells out. "Can you beat that Black and Gold" Team replies. "Hell NO" Another thing that is a new tradition at Bellevue is they sing the Fight song to the crowd after a victory.
