I think you are correct. I wasn't overlooking Frankfort or any other team in your district. Just answering the question if they could meet again. They can but will have to go through some very good teams first.

I don't think anyone one here has said Bellevue wouldn't have their hands full. BW is the champions until beaten by another Class A team. I personally am hoping that is Friday but if not I wish them well and we will look forward to a possible playoff rematch. BTW Ryle blows Boone out by 4 TD's. Getting a little off the original thread here but how is open enrollment even fair? What about other schools that are limited to their district. Thats like a Campbell County School playing an all-star team from Kenton county. Is it just me or can someone explain how this is a fair playing field. Does anyone know how many counties throughout the state have open enrollment. I would also be curious to see if they have schools in Scott's predicament.

Your absolutely right in this case. I think Highlands 2 nd team will be able to score against Scott easily. The fewest point their defense has given up all year is 20. If your second team is in the game you can't tell them to lay down and not produce. They are in essence trying out for next year. I think the whole open enrollment thing creates a problem for a team like Scott. Good players just aren't going to come to Scott when they have the choice to go to a established good football program. I think the whole open enrollment is a huge advantage to some schools and a huge disadvantage to programs like Scott's.

I think Wills has progressed nicely this year. He has gained confidence with each game and has worked very hard to get better each game. Keep up the good work Richard and all will be fine in the end. He has always done a good job in running the offense now he is producing with his running and passing ability that he has work so diligently to improve.

If Beechwood focuses strictly on Buckler then Bellevue has several other weapons they can use. The Alex Hegge kid has some great hand along with Nick Evans. Out of the backfield with Buckler you have DJ Slater and the Sullivan kid. And when you go to sleep thinking here comes Buckler again they pop the fullback Travis Lyvers for a long run. I know BW has some weapons but so do the Black and Gold Tigers. Bellevue may be more balanced then most think. Everyone looks at Buckler's stats and thinks he must carry the ball 30-35 times a game when he actually only averages 24 carries a game. The Offense is averaging just under 400 yards a game and he is averaging just over 200 yards a game so there is a lot of others producing yards.

Lets face it a lot of Highlands second team would start on most other teams in NKY. Question for Highlands fans. Doesn't it get boring going to games on Friday Nights when over half you don't even have a thought of the game being close? I'm being dead serious when the game is over before it starts it can't be very exciting going to the game. Well I'm sure the Blue Bird fans still look forward to the tailgating.

Bellevue seems to play well in the mud, has anyone seen Beechwood in the mud? Or have they been fortunate enough to play at home on the rainy nights?

The field is in surprisingly good condition. Not quite as good as Beechwood is. The Bellevue tigers will be doing our rain dance this week. Seriously though if we get rain it will turn to mud fast it has been a wet year and the field has taken some abuse.

Adams was a great Bellevue Football player but they had two entirely different styles. Even if we are just comparing the two as backs and not all around football players it would have to depend on the type of team you have around them. Adams had great speed and was great to hit a hole and get to the end zone, or out run everyone to the outside. Buckler while he also has great speed is a more patient keep those feet chopping and let the hole open then get to the end zone type of back. BTW I think Adams did return kicks and did a pretty good job.
