  1. Bourbon Co. plays their 8th Graders mixed with Freshmen, due to the numbers. They have 12, 8th and 3, 9th graders on this years team.
  2. Bourbon Co will turn heads this year, they have 7 or 8 returnung starters on Offense and 5 or 6 returning on Defense. Colonels played well in the win over Owen Co in their scimmage, and that was without their starting back field, QB Barnes. RB Percell, and FB Manning.
  3. Mont. Co. 31 GRC 12, MC's Ryan Hackworth will have a big night, Indians weight program will show this year. Go Tribe:ylsuper:
  4. Hendrix just had surgery on his nose Monday
  5. Bourbon Co will be better than last year, Massie has some leaders amoung the seniors this year. Saw them compete 7 on 7 if they can find a QB and use T Barnes as RB WR they will be more versatile
  6. Bourbon has only 4 freshmen out right know and don't look for them to have enough for a freshmen team. The line lost 3 srs last year but the rest were freshmen and sophs, which gave them some experience going into this season. Barnes and Purcell have blocking from the fullback position in Mack Manning, he cleared the way for Purcell in the win over Paris. Coach Massie should compete better this year. Massie is more involved with the hiring of the Middle school staff this year, the head coach Strurgul needed to be replaced IMO. Go Colonels !!:thumb:
  7. Congrats to Jordan  Anyone have his stats, and where is he going to school ?
  8. Great Job ! Just wondering the Manning kid, is he related to the Manning boys that played football for years there at MCHS?
  9. McGee played a great outfield last night, made several highlight grabs. :thumb::thumb::thumb:
  10. Heard it from that board member he spoke with, no reason for him to spread rumors he doesn't have a kid playing
  11. Coach Massie had a differnce in opinion with a simple request of the wrestling program and made several comments about the football program. After a meeting with the superintendent about what he had said, he said to a board member that he would wait and walk out so they would have a hard time finding a coach. So with that I would call it fact
  12. The walking away didn't come from meddling parents it came from the school board members, I agree he was left with a program that had been ran in the ground. He's made some progress but he can't do it alone. He's father quit him last year and he only had 1 asst. that new anything about the game, the rest would be allowed on any other teams practice field. He needs some quality assts. to help him rebuild. As far as the parents seems he doesn't let them interfere with his coaching.
  13. Is Massie going to return to Bourbon Co this year. We've heard he was walking away just before the start of the season?
  14. Someone said Harrison was talking to Scott Co.'s Jim Keyes. He and his wife are from that area and have interest in coming to Harrison. But I haven't heard anything from Harrison fans to back it up
  15. Bourbon Co started Ruppard but he came out in the 2nd, Jacoby pitched until the 6th and then they brought in Dutton. Scott started Adkins he was relieved in the 4th by Murray, all of them struggled with the umpires strike zone very tight.
  16. Bourbon Co / Scott High, Pitchers on both sides struggled throwing strikes and the umpire's strike zone being very tight didn't help, along with the errors made this a ugly game to watch. Scott should be in the championship game, but they better not over look a determined Nicholas Co team. Good luck guys and congradulations to Bourbon Co, you guys suprised alot of teams lately and losing only 1 senior you guys should be figured in the mix next year.
  17. Andy Dutton started for Bourbon threw well, Jacoby pitched well and had a good defense behind him and they made some great plays, Withrow was the # 23 that came in for Clark. Bourbon is playing good defense and coming up with timely hits when they need them, great time of the season to be playing well. Great win for a team that not very many gave a chance in the 40th. Go Colonels !!!!!
  18. I was told the pitcher for Bourbon was Bryan Ruppard he is jr. They have 1 sr the center fielder they think his name is Jones. Bourbon has 7 or 8 jrs returning.
  19. Haven't read anything about Bourbon Co being a contender in the 40th district or 10th region, how big of a upset was this game. Do you know who pitched for Bourbon Co. ?
  20. Mack Manning had 2 doubles along with his homerun. Jeremy Sallee also hit a homerun for Bourbon. Andy dutton threw very well for Bourbon.
  21. Harrison Co. does have a few fine Jr.'s and GRC has a good Jr. class also!
  22. Id have to add bourbon counties mack manning he has been starting at the varsity level since an 8th grader. He has a lot of power and discipline at the plate and has a very good glove on 3rd and 1st base.
  23. Who are some of the best juniors in the state?
