The Montgomery Co. Boys and Girls Tennis teams show that they are going to be a force in many years to come this past week.

Their Boys #1 doubles team of Ben Manning and Forrest Thornberry, both 8th graders, won the regional crown.

Their Girls #1 doubles team of Tori and Courtney Conyers (twins), both 9th graders, won the Girls title.

Congrats to both of these teams and to the entire Boys team (coached by John High) for making it to the state tournament! :thumb:

Great Job ! Just wondering the Manning kid, is he related to the Manning boys that played football for years there at MCHS?

That makes three doubles titles for MCHS in the last 8 years! Also the Indians won the team title for the first 2nd time since 04 and the third time overall!

The Manning and Thornsbery were good. They beat my brothers team in the Semi Finals. I think my brothers team was the only team in the Region to take a set from them. They won the first set 7-6, then lost the other two.

These kids have a bright future, they only get to play about 3 months out the year. The boys play basketball and football also I think.
