He played a GREAT game ........I just don't know how a guy his size, playing all those minutes goes half the forth period and four over-times and doesn't pick-up his fifth, while Dixie players are fouling out left and right. I seen him play twice this year first being senior nite and I thought they (refs) protected him that night also.

"Playing a little defense" has been the problem ALL year. I don't think enough importance was stressed on the defensive side of the ball, and untill it is, this team will continue to struggle in years to come. Just my two cents

Are any of these games on the radio today? If so, what station? I thought I seen the games at SK being aired the first day of the tourny. Stuck at wook and would love to follow the games today. Thanks in advance.

Beechwood has good size and the athletic ability to play with almost anybody. They are however, very young. Of their top 6 or 7 players they have 1 SR, 1 JR and 4 SO. The game got away from the a little bit in the second period. They are more than capable of putting a whole game together like they played in that first period. Are they going to represent the region down state? Probably not. But Beechwood basketball has come along way from where they were twenty years ago.

As far as CC vs BW next year....CC lost alot more than BW this year, and I think BW Jr and Soph classes are stronger than CC. Although I would give this years CC Fr class the edge. That coupled with the close game between the schools this year, leads me to disagree with the first part of your post. Dixie will be a great game...I think you cold make a argument for either team. As for the third part of your post,,,yes cake walk through district...but have to say that it (State) is definiitely BW to lose.

How does SK, Dixie, Cov. Cath, New Cath, Holy Cross and Holmes sound?????

I believe they open with SK (6A)...They are replacing Highlands. As far as replacing Bishop and Walton, I heard it will be with Holmes (4A) and Elizabethtown (?A).....

The football players (that will play) did not travel with the team to Rowan saturday....Now that football is over expect the tigers to get alot stronger and inside and out.

As for the "little center of the universe" comment ....I think having 4 teams last night playing for a chance to go to state is pretty special......Can you universe say that?????

I truely hope they meet again next year......I 'm suprised that nobody has commented on the youth of the Beechies (zero seniors on D & three on O). Mayfield is a very good team, but they will lose alot. Beechwood will do nothing but get better the next few years.
