  1. Lloyd is having the same problem in all sports. i would say 90 percent of kids at lloyd just dont care, they have no discipline or work ethic

  3. bcpwfl and nkyfl has never talk about merge,
  4. holmes won all three games, holmes 7th grade team #11 and #15 pretty good player
  5. It's the 1st quarter. I coach baseball with the same age group, so I know how each kid is different. At that age, you just want to make sure everyone plays, has fun, and learns some of the basic fundamentals. I just have a hard time trying to justify to Johny that his score didn't count, but Bobby's did. I guess I'm just not a fan of the starter bowl. You don't keep score all season, everyone plays at least a half, then all of a sudden, the last two games seem to mean everything (to the coaches). Like you said, most of those kids could care less if they won or lost. They were just out there having fun playing football. nees i been coaching lions starter 6yrs. first quarter dead so we can get all the 5/6yrs kids in the game, coaches made this rule 3yrs ago, after coaches would put 7yrs in the game to run up score and show poor sportsmanship. referees call the game the way all the head coaches discuss two weeks ago. i went to coach steve and ask to put the little guys back in, cause i want to see them play more, you are very lucky to have a great coach like steve who care about the kids, and show good sportsmanship
  6. Tichenor 7th grade team will be solid group of kids, with start five of (pg) Plageman, (sg ) Shereck, ( sf ) Moilter ( pf ) 5' 10"" Joseph, , ( c ) 6' Sergio. 4 of the 5 kids have played aau basketball for Wolfpack and Lions.
  7. I agree with you about Scott....As far as BW last year, they dressed 30 freshman last year and felt they could play with the bigger schools. This year is a diffrent story (more 7th & 8th graders) with only about 8 freshman coming out to play football. I don't believe that the general public have a problem with smaller schools trying to better theirselves by playing up....At least not as much as the large schools playing down.
  8. That (22-18) is the correct score.....I believe BW would like another shot at NC......They lost that came in the last 36 seconds. Does anyone know why Cooper was permitted to play with all the smaller schools? From everyone posts, it seems that Cooper has the advantage in this game only because of their (6A) size. I hear that their 8th grade class is just as talented (and the numbers large) as this year. I hope they do the right thing and play in the larger divison.
  9. Newport had 6 fumbles, 3 straight on kickoffs in the 1st half.
  10. Who are the running backs if Centers is gone? Just wondering....How strong they are at that position...No disrespect,(obviously he's doing great this year) but I don't know if he was the best RB's on the field in last year in the NKYFL superbowl.
  11. lions junior are very good group of kids, i would have to say spartan are the team to beat in junior division, newport has good group of junior too
  12. Not sure who scored for NCC....First TD for BW was about a 30 yard catch from # 42 (Nussbaum), second score was a INT from about 40 yards out by # 24 (Erdman) and the last TD came on a 4th and goal sweep from about 5 yards out by #24 (Erdman).....
  13. Very good game...a few kids on NCC got hurt during the game, #10 never returned...Are they all right?
  14. Per, yesterdays coments on Beechwoods freshman team....."What classes fill thier roster. The breakdown is as follows: 7 Frosh, 9 eight graders and 5 seventh graders.
  15. bengal tiger pee-wee 14-12 erlanger lions lions midget 28-6 bt lions junior 28-6 bt bt senior 22-8 lions
  16. I don't know if "inexperienced" is the right word to use when describing the Tigers freshman team. They have four kids that played in 5 or 6 straight NKYFL superbowls during their 8 or 9 years of playing youth football....I would agree that the overall talent level is down but they still have several big playmakers. The 7th and 8th grade players that are contributing will only get better as the season goes on.
  17. 25-27 kids, they did have enough to split the field opening weekend
